1. why the startup is so d*mn long? 2. with mapking installed, the Touch is very laggy... 3. is it just me or I need to tap the screen hard to get it to respond? Overall it is a nice PDA phone, but a tad too complicated for me to upgrade from my N70 |

QUOTE(kerazul @ Oct 16 2007, 07:19 AM) Hiyrh0413, Being a power-user, the Touch is really not for me. The RAM is just TOO SMALL to do any friggin thing other than the PIM functions. But the ergonomics of ACTUAL usage (looking up contacts, scheduling appointments, making notes, listening to music) is just amazing! The shape, the size, the screen size... perfect! As long as u stick to the basic functions of a multimedia PDAphone. IMO, this device is suitable for someone who is looking for a PDAphone with strong multimedia functions. But if u wanna fool ard with ur device, installing a whole lot of crap at a whim knowing that u'll delete them a week later, u'll definitely feel that the Touch is inadequate. Hope this helps! Oh ya some more questions to ask: 1. Can WM6 export SMS/MMS to text file or other file formats? 2. How much does a Touch spare battery cost? 3. How durable is the Touch? Which is the most fragile part? |

QUOTE(kerazul @ Oct 17 2007, 04:37 AM) hi yrh0413, Hmm... is there some sort of program that allows me to export every sms out? Something like MsgStorer (exports all sms to a text file)?1. to import/export sms to txt or any other format, u'll have to manually copy n paste frm ur inbox to wherever u need d text. Can be done nonetheless. Another Q, let's say i'm listening to music on handsfree or BT stereo headset, and there's an incoming call. Will the music playback pause and resume after I ended the call, or I need to manually pause and resume it? p.s: sorry ya, a lot of questions to ask as this will be my first PDA phone |

Hmm, occasionally I can't sync my Touch with my PC but what I normally do is soft-reset the Touch and walla, it manage to sync again. By the way what connectivity you used for syncing? Bluetooth or data cable? I tried both and both are working well.

To be frank, the Touch does not perform well in low light conditions. Anyway, here's an unaltered picture that I took when I was at Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam a week ago.

QUOTE(kevinboey86 @ Nov 1 2007, 10:00 AM) wat abt typing chinese character's in sms? does it lag during video playback? and 1 more thing how does the mp3 playback sound on the speaker or using an earphone? I have CE Star latest edition installed on my Touch, and I can view and write Chinese with ease. For Chinese input, it is like Microsoft IME 3.0 or Chinese Star, you can use "pin yin" to spell it out.Or, the faster way is to scribble on the screen (like how we normally write Chinese words). CE Star will automatically convert your "drawing" into the appropriate Chinese characters. Haven't try video playback; no comment on that. As for mp3 playback, the supplied handsfree is not that good. Bass is there but treble is on the higher end of the scale. But still, it sounded OK to my ears (from an audiophile's PoV that is). By the way music playback on the speaker is... horrible. It sounded very "mono" and dull. Moreover the speaker is situated behind the phone, so it sounded muffled when you put the phone on the table |

erm... what i meant by "mono" is the speaker playback. Playback through the supplied headset is still stereo though
