had my htc elf for a few days. it was slightly dull when there wasn't any 3rd party app installed, but after searching here and there, i could make the most out of the elf and told myself that the iphone could wait wink.gif

eventho any ppc isnt like the iphone but hell it sure can look exactly like one!!

i had a dopod 900 which has a 500mhz and a htc touch with a 201mhz speed. if your not a hardcore pda user with countless multi tasking and running applications, you dont need to worry about the processor speed. your not buying a laptop. as for the audio transmission, the speakers seems to be better than expected, i can compare it with my n73 ME and its almost the same. for the audio output jack, just get a converter and use your own earphones or headphones. and besides anything ALL-IN-ONE can never be good at it all.

dude, that software is developed by htc itself and it was made for htc touch and other compatible htc devices. why wouldn't OEM software have problems?

and its not like windows operating systems works perfectly anyway...

got my touch today...and i must say its pretty cool....
my first PDA, had some hard time playing wif it but after half a day with the phone on my hand...pretty familiar wif it ...still more application that i need to play wif...

got myself a GPS with MAPKING....OK onli...reason is..i still need to learn how to actually use it....kinda useful for a person who doesnt no the road well...but for me...i reached my intended place even b4 they could advise me...but the voice navigation is really cool....

ring tone can be accepted....but i think the alarm is not up to my expectation...it doesnt serve as an alarm...volume too low..cannot set mp3 as alarm..u have to stick to it...if anybody here knows how to do it...please advise.

overall, i give 8/10 to this phone....

Added on September 16, 2007, 12:59 amcan anyone here pls guide me on connecting to windows live messenger? i can suft the net but unable to sign in ...it says no connection.....by the way...i m using maxis

just copy your audio file into your windows folder :]

then you can use as an alarm.

ezinger : it works ! thanks ! now much more nicer alarm clock compared to those preloaded.... smile.gif

no prob :]

i usually have some annoying long mp3 sounds as my alarm.

but you can't use a full song as an alarm ;/ it won't show in your alarm drop down sounds. but you can use it for some other notifications.

Haha, right will post the pictures later. My sis swear that she heard some warning sound from my touch before she realize the dog have been biting it. Guess it did manage to unlock my phone smile.gif

Found some OEM ones from website cost USD 15 + 5 for shipping from HK.... They even got a few colours white, blue and etc. Darn, cant wait to get my hands on them esp white.

Below are the sites:

Xperia has a slide out qwerty keyboard le and its running WM 6.1 ... 3.2 mega pix ... the weight and the size ... and with a build in GPS ...

i'm sure that Xperia will beat the iPhone flat ... i juz feel that iPhone is over rated ...
*
how can iPhone be over rated when its not even being sold worldwide?
Even so, os x is by far superior than wm. iPhone is also not about features and dorky functions, its about style and self actualisation. You don't see iPhone trying to look like wm phones

OS X is superior than WM u mean? functions? stability? programs?

I prefer WM coz it has freewares which I can use and custom roms which can be flashed to suit my needs ...

lol ... anyway we lari topic d ... better go back to HTC Touch ...

Its really a waste that HTC Touch Dual doesnt have wifi ... if not i would get it already ... argg xD
*
OS X pwns WM in every way man.

os x doesn't need such hassle to install custom rom's because it works great out of the box.

lol freewares....OS X can install 3rd party software and freewares on the fly with AppTapp.

unlike wm, you have to browse forums or websites to install which is still another hassle..
