To disable your Touch from automatically connecting and incurring unnecessary charges...

Go to Start -> Settings -> Connections tab -> Connections icon -> Under Maxis 3G Internet Settings, Choose Manage Existing Connections -> Click NEW -> Enter any name for the new connection -> Click Next -> Enter any number -> Click Next -> Leave the Username, Password empty -> Click FINISH.

In the List of Networks, choose the newly created one instead of your Maxis/Digi/Celcom connection.


The next time any software wants to connect to the 3g/GPRS, it will not be able to connect, and will prompt you to type your username/password.
