Bought HTC touch at PDA expert RM2020. Just more convenient for me going midvalley therefore i choose there.

What i like:
1. No doubt, the design n size is excellent, my main purpose of buying the phone.
2. Secondly comes to perfomance, a bit laggy once a while but acceptable for normal usage, sms/call/calendar
3. MP3 ringtone not as loud as expected, depends on what song it is and definately much better quality (crisp/clear) than my previous o2 Atom exec which sounds terrible for mp3 ringtone.
4. TouchFlo kinda fun but not really dependant on that function.
5. Weather forecast from accuweather.com, another value add which previously doesnt come with my atom exec (HTC touch doesnt have KL, Malaysia in the list by default, you will need to modify the xml file in windows folder to show KL weather)
6. Lastly, cant stop looking at my phone now. SL33K!

What i don like:
1. Sometimes laggy when multiple applications running, due to slower processor.
2. GUI doesnt come with any battery meter in percentage, need 3rd party application like Resco/spb to do so.

Hi all HTC touch users! I have a problem here.

Problems: As we all know when it is connected to usb cable from PC, it will SYNC + CHARGE (light turned to orange). But now i realize it no longer charge when connected to USB cable. It will only SYNC and the light will not turn orange either. It will only charge when i use the AC charger.

Anyone has such problems? Does this mean there is something faulty?

smile.gif thanks for the reply. Just curious though, is this Touch good? Or should I go for the 818 instead? I'm getting my first PDA phone to replace my N70 but I really have no clue which should I go for.

For me, im using touch instead of 818. My priority is on size and design, so TOUCH comes in picture. 818 is fine but i used o2 mini and o2 Atom exec previously, so 818 is not as attractive as TOUCH

Hi all,

Noobie here and I'm contemplating on getting the HTC touch or the O2 Atom Exec.

Any thoughts? Which is a better buy?
*
Hi there, im previously using o2 Atom exec for less than a year until i saw this beautiful htc TOUCH, i sold off my Atom exec.

For me, HTC touch is cheaper, sleek design, surprisingly slim n small in hand, crisp and clear mp3 ringtone even when u turn up the volume (Atom mp3 ringtone quality suck unless u put low volume), Windows Mobile 6 (This doesnt matter to me), camera better. The processor might be slower but i dont actually feel much diff.

I don think i got anything gd to mention about Atom Exec, i prefer slim and compact PDA and atom seems promising before HTC TOUCH is out. Not anymore..

wireless B is only upto 11Mbps while Wireless G is upto 54Mbps... whether the hotspot is B or G both can interconnect but its just the speed difference.

hahaha I bought my Atom Exec from kilikulu used it for about a month and then sold it off for a HTC Touch  and then sold the Touch for Palm Treo 680 and then also sold the Treo to buy Fujitsu Lappy and now only using old W800i  rclxub.gif  doh.gif  whistling.gif

hehehe I dunno laa bro I think I got a serious problem hehehe sweat.gif

I just like to try new stuff... the touch is a very good device slim and light.. and one of the most stamina high battery life out all the PPC Phones i've used before.
*
Ya agree, for regular usage, making calls, sms and setting appointment, TOUCH can really last for 3-4 days. rclxms.gif

its pretty amazing because the capacity of the batt is only 1050mah compared to atoms 1530 mah shocking.gif
*
I suppose it's coz of TOUCH perfomance are slower therefore slower in draining batt as well LOL

Hmm, occasionally I can't sync my Touch with my PC but what I normally do is soft-reset the Touch and walla, it manage to sync again. By the way what connectivity you used for syncing? Bluetooth or data cable? I tried both and both are working well.
*
me too occasionally having problem sync with pc when connecting usb cable. the usb connector is kinda sensitive at phone side, when sync with pc and i move my phone around, it will get disconnected, i need to unplug the usb cable n reconnect back. blush.gif

tongue.gif I prefer to use Sync over BT. I don't like to plug/unplug the data cable.
*

HTC Touch got a pretty good screen protector in the package itself ady. Try looking in ur CD's n Manuals pack. Should be inside.
*
