1. Which water pump to choose if i want to boost up my water pressure and have nice strong shower?
2. Which brand offers sufficient warranty? pls share your testimony if any....
3. Water pump is to be installed next to the water tank rite up in the roof? why i see some ppl ask if the water pump can be place infront of the house?
4. Which horse power or ww is sufficient for DS link house?
5. Any installer contact to share?

If you want to install water pump, make sure your piping is all ok or replace with new one to withstand the pressure. If not, later bocor everywhere also cannot see, leaving watermark all over the place.

you can direct lay new water pipe to your bathroom just for showering with the rest untouched since you are DS.

GRUNDFOS so far ok, more than 2 years now

Me install next to my water tank. Nobody will installed next to water meter(me forgot why and i think can get in trouble with syabas) I believe it is wrong way to do it and create low pressure for other house when you using it.

normally depending how many bathroom/water tap need

5. Any installer contact to share?
My installer from kepong. U can search those qualify dealer around your place first

1. Depends on piping condition, distance from pump to outlet, elevation etc.
2. What the hell is sufficient warranty?
3. Your pump can be placed anywhere, but the question is how are you going to run the piping? Our water regulation allows you to tap directly to the kitchen sink only, all other outlets shall be served by the water tank.

the reason you should not install a pump at the water meter is because it will cause cavitation at the pump suction. cavitation will prematurely wear out the pump impeller.

Cavitation will also damage pump casing as it's one of the main enemies of centrifugal pumps.

thats for the insights bro..... apparently some ppl use pump when they r staying in flats i.e 4th floor to increase the water pressure.... so i was a bit confuse how does this pump work....

i used 2 different water pumps before.
sorry i cant recall the brands...some british one. first one, had pipes bursting. it seems pressure too high. changed a second one with lower pressure. again pipes bursting.
now totally no more water pumps. less headaches.

For the no 3, thats not the reason. The real reason is the pump will be damaged if you run it dry. Hence you can see some of these when choosing pump brand "dry run protection". So the pump suction should be installed in airtight connection. Which mean it need to pump by sucking the water from abundant source.

If you directly installed it from water meter, lets say the syabas source is kinda slow and your pump need more than it could supply, the pump will be running dry. The component inside the pump such as mechanical seal will be damaged and this gonna cause leak.

As for where to install it you need to check the pump manual. It will show you the maximum length of the suction from the ground level. Thats if you wanted to install it on the 2nd floor. Same with discharge, there is a maximum range. Just in case, make sure you tell your installer to do the bypass valve in your piping system. Lets say if you temporarily have no electricity, you can bypass the system, low pressure water, but hey at least you can use it.

Last time me also thinking cheaper brand but heard spare parts and servicing them got problem later on when they no longer in production.
Me also heard those brand after many years usage the pressure not so great anymore, may need to services more often.
Btw my pump placement is elevated and got shelter from rain and sunlight but is open space although the supplier said can withstand it

As u know, the pump need to switch on/off multiple times, that why me only do piping to my rain shower on both bathroom and my washing machine only. Washing basin and others tap connection to my old piping.

Which one did u go for in the end?

No point also if you have a good pump for water tank, but water supply from main meter very slow.
