1111 sales is coming, planning to upgrade my rig.
I would like to use it for gaming, and as a workstation, where I can upgrade later when I am able to.
I want to be able to overclock my CPU, but I don't need SLI or Crossfire Support

Current spec
I5 4440
biostar B85MG
zotac 1070ti amp extreme
240gb ssd
1tb harddisk
cooler master mwe 700w

Planned build:

ryzen 5 2600
MSI B450 Tomahawk
HyperX Predator 3200MHz 16gb (8gb x2)

vendor recommend, is that good? I'm new to AMD
sorry/thank you in advance, this may be a stupid question

BTW is a nice rig and nice upgrade, Best bang for bucks for the ryzen 5 2600, the RAM also wise choice, ryzen love speedy memory, since the price between MSI B450 Tomahawk vs MSI X470 Gaming pro carbon just RM120 difference, for me better pick MSi X470 Gaming Pro Carbon due better VRM for Overclock, more features like 8 SATA ports and 2 M.2 slot for minimal price upgrade. thumbup.gif

Mobo looks great. Double check with seller for the full RAM model number. You have to check with Kingston and MSI for the compatibility.

for me the best mobo is asus, good compatibility & the best bios, rarely i heard bad bout them

heard alot good thing for asrock too for amd ryzen platform

then follow up by others like gigabyte and msi, but truthfully not that much of difference though, nowadays almost all brand are very good quality and almost the same, just that asus got some edge over others thumbsup.gif

oh is it, haha my bad tongue.gif yeah it is more expensive than other brand

im not sure cause i dont usually stick to 1 brand, it just alot ppl talk good bout asus. but the bios for me is the best though

im currently using gigabyte for my ryzen, no problem at all and very stable, im very happy with it

on other note, my asus x99 mobo just died just after 1 year+, i suspect its short circuit/bad power in my house, weird thing is i dont have any pc mobo died before hmm.gif just bought a refurbished msi x99 mobo as temp replacement
