Hi sifus, I plan to buy external monitor for my laptop (gpu Intel 530 and gtx950)

Main usage is just normal browsing, series and movies.

WQHD looking at Dell 2418D - rm9xx
FHD looking at Acer VG240Y - rm5xx

Question
1. Is the sharpness between wqhd and fhd significant (almost double the price)?
2. Can my laptop support wqhd as the laptop screen itself is only fhd

Any other recommendation is much welcome
