I have Davinci Resolve v14 on my AMD FirePro GPU-based workstation. But, you really need a large RAM memory with a better GPU for a smooth editing. MY station has 16G RAM. It is freemium which is interesting. For certain plugins, you have to purchase. I really love its non-linear keyframing and scripting feature.

If you dont mind mobile video editing tools, Power Director for Android is free and pretty darn useful for quick edits, with live preview in place.

I usually use Adobe Premier Pro for simple editing. It lets me chop and add music and other pieces of video quickly and has a small preview box on the top right for me to see how the video will turn out before rendering.

But if you want super simple, Windows Movie Maker then.

Just launch your "Photos" app on your Windows 10 and navigate to Video, you can edit and save as you go.

Depends on what you're looking for, Premiere is a great program but in someways I prefer vegas, I think it comes down to personal preference.

I think they both offer trials too, worth trying I guess, right?
