Hi,

I am new to this forum and this is my first post.

Have been wondering if it is better to get the iPhone XR directly from Apple Malaysia or from 3rd party seller (Harvey Norman/Machines etc). I understand that 3rd party seller normally offers extra warranty beyond Apple's one-year warranty, but it is really necessary and worth it?

I am looking to get the phone without any ties to telco, so really appreciate if someone can advise me on the pros/cons and which 3rd party is a better choice...

Thanks

if you plan to change phone next year, doesnt matter where u buy from. if you intend to keep it till extended warranty expires pls buy from the 3rd party as their set are also MY set, just different seller offers different plans for extended warranty, some covers screen crack, some dont

3rd party will do. But make sure to get it from places like Harvey Norman, Senheng etc, as those shop will have extra warranty. Lazada is ok but without extra warranty, and you have to find out whether it is import set or My set.

3rd party is ok. Just know what you are buying though. Buy it new in box and test it fully with a valid simcard before parting with your hard earned money.
