Never skimp on tyres. They are the only keeping your contact on the road. Dont stinge on safety stuff. Other accessories go ahead use nonsense stuff.
Buy new tyres. |

maybe you should change the mode of transport. Take public transport like mrt. At least they are safer than you using 2nd tyres

If you know your stuff then 2nd hand tires can be a stop gap measure until you change all new ones.Otherwise go with new, as many say, it's better to be safe. For me, one of the best tires i ever used was 2nd hand, just so happen the shop had a relatively new tire. Like i said, u need to know your stuff and check the tire yourself. However most of the time, the shop won't have the size i need or the 2nd hand tires is in bad shape, so always had to get new. Otherwise i think i will go 2nd hand all the way |

New tyres better, bro. There are plenty of choices around RM150 budget. I would advise to upgrade it to 185 65 R15, price is almost the same with 175 65 R15, and you can use back the same rim. Put both 185 tyres on rear wheel.

Like Unitron said above, you can opt for used tires if you now your stuff and how to check them out otherwise just go with new ones. Now judging by your question, I'm think you don't know much about tires, so most probably better for you to just buy new ones to be safe. Note though IMHO, if due to very limited budget constraint that you only have a choice to buy new tires but those unknown crap brands vs buying well known reputable brands but used in still reasonably good condition, it's still better to buy the used ones! So contrary to what most have implied above, it's not true that new tires will be 100% always better and safer than used ones. That's not true at all, if you buy new tires but one of those shit brands like Jinyu, Winrun, or whatever crap, you will be much safer and better buying a used Michelin/Goodyear etc2. which are still in reasonably good condition even when they only have like 50-60% tread left. |

In my opinion, you should buy new tires as tires is a crucial part of vehicle in order to keep it function properly and also for you and your family safety. Despite it is back tires not front tires, it is also important to have all good tires for your vehicle and keep it safer especially when you travel.
even though there is huge gap in pricing a new one and a used one, it is worth for you to spend that money for a quality product. i think with RM250 you can get a well known reputable brands with good quality. |

New tires can be use for a long term compared to the used tires because used tires are easily damage and you need to change it again and again in short time. at the end, you might spent much more money on tires in future and also dangerous too your safety.
besides, by buying a new tire also you can get warranty. it is important for any unexpected situation or accident occurs in future. buying a new tires is a smart decision absolutely. |

11-11 is just 2days away.... just monitor some websites and grab the deal when time comes....
this should be the safer way than buying 2nd hand (since you don't seem to be well-versed in tyres). |

QUOTE(SonsOfAnarchy @ Nov 9 2018, 10:44 AM) Sometimes got people who immediately upgrade rims/tires after buying a new car, so they just traded in their original stock tires and rims to the tire shops. If can find tires like those, they're actually a very good buy coz price is already very cheap while condition is still like 95-98% new. I once bought such tires at only like half price and they performed just as expected like new and lasted me more than 3 years. ☺️ |
