So I went to a Mediviron and was prescribed medicine for cough, flu, and stomach ache. Bill came to be MYR 110. I asked for itemised receipt, but was told they cannot provide one.

Is MYR 110 the average charge for clinic visit now? It’s been too long since my last visit.

No receipt? you can rejects and don't pay them, you can also threaten them how I claim my MC, or I will report to police.

No detailed listed, you also got right to refuse to do any payment, if them no cooperation, police and consumers rights dept is the way to report.

medical expenses are getting more and more expensive nowadays

so yea prepare for 'emergency situation' is needed

for clinic,
depends you go to which kind
if you go to "famous" clinic, be prepared to pay more
if you go to "smaller", should be cheaper

Too expensive. Were you paying using medical card (swipe like credit card). Last time also kena at qualitas. When my company change to use medical card, suddenly the bill jump from rm50 to 100. Same issue same medicines.

Consultation fees for the medical profession are fixed by rules. There are set fees for short and long consultations. The rest of the bill, for tests and medication. Bills from clinics or chains that provide imported medication will be higher. Consultation plus generic medicines probably total 50-80. Consultation plus imported medicines maybe 70-150. Depends on what and where too. Perhaps ask for generic medicines or head somewhere that suits your preferences.
