I recently decided to get back into swimming and get myself a knee-length jammer to start with
But when I look at myself in the mirror, I feel like something is not right. the jammers make my legs seem shorter and I feel like a hobbit wearing that, wife gave the same input doh.gif
Yes, I am totally not proud of my height. just around 166cm, 57-59kg guy

any advice which swimsuit style that does not make a short guy like me looks out of proportion?
Looking for something practical and universal like I could wear to any water a local and condo pool, pool, beaches, waterpark slides without issue here.
Example, those boardshorts looks like a safe/universal option but I could not even use it at my condo pool and local pool.

basically, a practical Jack of all trades style for guy like me

dont wanna like 1 for beaches, 1 for pools, etc..

Most of us will have 2 different outfit for beachwear and swimwear.

Swimwear will seems out of place in beaches and waterpark while broadshorts will look out of place in a pool.

A possibility is swim trunks? almost like the boxer type

hmmm
I have seen everywhere officially waterpark dress code = swimwear oh

as for beach,
I have been using broadshorts/Bermuda pants during my teenage year and constantly been pull and push by waves due to the shorts giving "parachute effect". the first time it happened, it really caught me off guard and made me panic.
that is why broadshorts nv a practical thing for me to wear if I were to engage in water activities. For casual walking is okay, but I would do that in my street clothes instead of the hassle of changing into boardshorts

if it really bothers you that much you should go for speedo, it let you show off full length of your legs
