QUOTE(attw @ Nov 12 2018, 07:46 AM) Ya, and import also only images. $ucks. Hahaha... You can try SanDisk iXpand external flash drive. SanDisk got its own app for user to access the files from the flash drive. I have been using it for transferring media files and documents between PC and iOS devices. The downside is this flash drive quite expensive.

QUOTE(Benefon @ Nov 12 2018, 08:42 AM) One more thing if the hard drive can do copy and paste in MAC. there’s no longer access in windows anymore. Depending on which brand of external hard drive, WD one previously couldn’t be accessed in both platforms, now not sure WD has any improvement on this. Seagate external hard drive is accessible in both Mac n Window. There is a software in the hard drive for users to install to enable the users using in both platforms.

QUOTE(attw @ Nov 12 2018, 09:32 AM) So far I don't have any issues interconnecting any of my portable hard drives to Mac or Windows - maybe older hard drives? Maybe older hard drives, few years back when first time using MBA, my WD HDD couldn’t access in both platforms, just one operating system. Then, changed to Seagate HDD to solve the problem.

QUOTE(benny888 @ Nov 12 2018, 09:53 AM) Not only expensive , transfer of files is miserably slow I bought the first gen type. No idea whether current newer type had improve?? Yes. The speed not so fast, but it’s still ok for me cause I’m transferring documents most of the time. If large media files, it would take longer time to complete...

QUOTE(celciuz @ Nov 12 2018, 10:04 AM) Is it file system? NTFS can't be read natively by macOS (need to add some plugin for it to read), if ex-FAT then yes. Yes, due to the file system. Seagate providing a software to read the file in both OS.

QUOTE(Benefon @ Nov 13 2018, 07:06 AM) Actually I’m didn’t saw any turbo Sim before, that’s the advantage to use with? The only advantage is cheap. But it’s quite troublesome actually due to reset is required after software update if not mistaken.

If not mistaken, Apple care or care plus need not to buy so soon, as long as you buy within the first year of standard Apple warranty, you will still be able to extend the warranty for another year.

QUOTE(lat @ Nov 14 2018, 11:00 PM) Guys, iphone/ios can support otg? If you mean external drive, yes but iPhone OTG not so straightforward like Android devices. You need those external flash drives that have its own app to read the contents of the drive. You may check out SanDisk iXpand flash drive to know more how it works.

QUOTE(attw @ Nov 15 2018, 09:37 AM) Thing is, even with the USB C for the new iPad Pro, USB C OTG flash drives still won’t work That’s Apple’s arrogance for you That’s why those legit external hardwares associated with Apple products very costly. Not sure whether Apple charges them on supplying those accessories to make it compatible...😔
