Currently im using iPhone 6 and 6+. planning to upgrade to either iPhone X or XS Max.

the dilemma im facing, to get a used X 256GB from my friend, barely used and its MY set for 3200

or

XS Max 512GB. the cheapest MY set i can find is 6000 brand new.

or XS Max 512GB US set hybrid unlock for 4400.

its very tempting pricing for the US set; just top up a bit from X 256GB price and alot more cheaper than MY set.

any problems except when reformat the phone need to unlock one more time? performance wise all the same?
if you Apple Masters in my shoe, which one will u go for? im not rich and after 4 years using 6 and 6+ only dare to think of upgrade. cant afford if phone gives way within a short period.

Just contacted a few seller of those so called hybrid unlock XS Max. All say very loud Apple Malaysia warranty and there’s one seller stated only Times Square accept (I don’t get it, if Apple accept why only Times Square? ) but when I call Machine hotline to clarify, they don’t accept such sets. They only take MY and ZP set.
Hence, a million thanks to all who gave advise and even share links. Will hunt for Max 512GB MY set.

It costs RM 4549 for iphone xs 256G which is same price with other hybrid unlocked hp and can't factory reset.
