you can get it through checkcoverage.apple.com
yup correct we do not have apple store that why apple malaysia website do not have this service.

but we can still purchase that online if you set is HK/SG.. you can get your apple care protect set claim in any AASP in malaysia.

When you bought apple care, basically you are like "king" when you walk in AASP.

Not sure it's in SGD or USD in the pic... Apple Care+ SGD $199 too?

If based on exchange rate it's cheaper buying thru Sg Apple, right?

1 to 1 replacement on your IP6+ at RM199?
*
Yup 😊. Battery replacement for rm121 rejected on top of the reason that battery already bloated. However, can top up rm199 instead to get a replacement unit (as mentioned by LYN mmbr here, its a seed unit; as good 👍🏻 as new)

can we buy US apple care+  for hk set iphone?
*
EDIT: if can buy US apple care+ for USD199; it’s way cheaper than get it from Sg. USD199 = SGD275

Not sure... the website I check on are the same:

http://checkcoverage.apple.com

Only the region I change from US to Singapore (on the bottom)

Key in same XS serial number; both eligible. When I tap on “Learn more and Buy”
US hv 2 plan while Singapore only hv one

Guys, I bought XS Max as a gift for my wife. Her birthday is on December so I got her a sealed unit. I check warranty status and it's unable to check. It says to activate it first.

Does it mean the warranty starts when the phone is activated?

If not mistaken, Apple care or care plus need not to buy so soon, as long as you buy within the first year of standard Apple warranty, you will still be able to extend the warranty for another year.

so which one u choose bro?
*
Not Yet. Still sizing the option. My XS only 10 days old... still 50 days to decide.

*If possible wld purchase from US Apple, since it’s cheaper compared to SG. Unless, there’s diff in between the AppleCare+ plans?

I dont let my phone battery drop below 15% and max full charge is at 90% now. Will observe and see if there is a difference in battery longevity and report back here after a few months time.

Yes. Apparently Intel struck up a good deal with Apple in making them the sole providers for modems.

Apple are currently in multi-lawsuits battle w Qualcomm

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.digitaltre...lcomm-news/amp/

Tidbit:

Apple may slow iPhone data speeds due to dispute

The next iPhone may miss out on the faster gigabit LTE speeds coming soon to many carriers in the United States, according to a report from Bloomberg. Despite the legal battles, Apple is still using Qualcomm’s modems in its hardware. However, the company has also partnered with Intel in an effort to lessen its dependence on the chipmaker.

Qualcomm’s modems are the only ones on the market capable of supporting data transfers up to gigabit speed. But sources tell Bloomberg that Apple doesn’t want to create a discrepancy between similar products, so it will intentionally disable that feature in Qualcomm-powered iPhones to achieve parity with the ones sporting Intel modems.

If this approach sounds familiar, it is more or less what Qualcomm suggested in its countersuit against Apple. The iPhone 7 also featured both Qualcomm and Intel modems — a first for the brand — and Qualcomm believes Apple deliberately capped the performance of its chipsets so they wouldn’t be superior to Intel’s.

Gigabit LTE hasn’t arrived on American carriers yet, but they’re all experimenting with the technology. Many of the newest flagship phones on the market, like Samsung’s Galaxy S8, feature Qualcomm’s X16 modem, enabling them to take advantage of the upgraded infrastructure when it finally rolls out.
