Hi guys, i just got the speed upgrade to 300Mbps recently and ran into some weird problems. Hopefully someone here can shed some light on this issue.

My house has a concealed cat 6 cable and i use this to connect between the BTU and router (D-link DIR882), with this setup my speed is capped at 100Mbps. However when i go direct from router to btu with another cable, and run connect a laptop via the concealed CAT 6 to the router i can get max speed of 300Mbps.

BTU >> Concealed Cat6 >> Router >> Laptop = 100Mbps
BTU >> Router >> Concealed Cat6 >> Laptop = 300Mbps

So basically we can conclude that there is nothing wrong with the concealed cable, but i don't quite understand what is causing the difference in speed.

Cable performs as expected. Maybe your router isn't setup correctly?
Google says your Ethernet ports should gigabit capable. You probably to go inside your router through admin and check if your Ethernet ports are on auto or not.

All ports are gigabit port, hence the fullspeed in scenario 2.
