QUOTE(herojack41 @ Nov 15 2018, 04:27 PM) QUOTE(JohnLai @ Nov 15 2018, 04:06 PM) ..........I would like to see HWmonitor CPU utilization and clock speed during speedtest. I'll see if I can record another with that. Although, turbo will not kick in on all cores afaik, unless I fire up prime95 and select 1-2 cores.Oh ya....use the nvidia GPU for chrome. Right click on chrome, run with graphic processor, select nvidia. From your current youtube video....that is really a high CPU utilization even with latest microcode. I got a feeling your laptop turbo boost doesn't work..... EDIT: Quick question, have you ever run TM speedtest in 'safe mode with networking'? If no, try to run it. As for safe mode, no. Now I noticed the speed test goes up to 790-800Mbps now. Perhaps the tech is doing their job? Will keep on monitoring. This post has been edited by nyunyu: Nov 15 2018, 04:45 PM |

QUOTE(cannavaro @ Nov 15 2018, 04:06 PM) bro, from my experience using 800Mbps, unlike on 100Mbps or 500Mbps (tested at my FIL place), TM's server is not reliable enough to give 800Mbps consistently Just tested on the servers you mentioned bro and yeah I got good speed too.Try with other servers as well. For my location, if TM's server doesn't reach 800Mbps, a test on any 1 of the following will reach max speed - InNet - Extreme Broadband - Macrolynx There are 1 or 2 more that I can't remember, but these 3 are the ones I always use edit: forgot to mention, whenever I can't get 800Mbps on TM's server, most of the time it's between 500Mbps++ to 600Mbps++ JohnLai Haha..dunno. What I do know, the speed before I call up TM and before she opened a report was really low. At most 400Mbps-ish. Right after, it getting better. Of course, my cpu originally caught up with microcode issues also play a part. I'll monitor the speed the coming weeks while I'm still available at home although I'm pretty happy now I got good speed. Now, going to switch my focus to try getting my bill reduced |

TM only bounced this issue back and forth blaming tech not updating them about the status. Just now they call again saying tech can't come today because half day, only tomorrow will they contact me again to set an appointment. |

Update on my issue.
So, TM tech came today. Turns out there was "injured" cable a bit further down the road from my house. They found the cable has a cut mark, as if somebody trying to cut it. The cable was near to coconut and rambutan tree so maybe someone trying to steal the fruits and the cable got in the way. Also down the road a few meters there was a bunch of branches resting on the cable. The cable has been replaced since. They also change my BTU (HUAWEI-HG8240w) to the new one (HUAWEI HG-8240H). Speedtest shows I can easily reaches 800Mbps..and oh, ran a speedtest to InNET server got me 470Mbps on 5Ghz AC WiFi, iPhoneX. But, even though the speedtest shows good speed, my internet is very laggy, even on my phone trying to access pubg server took awhile. This post has been edited by nyunyu: Nov 18 2018, 04:54 PM |
