Where did you order your C3150? I thought it is out of stock at the moment. Is it v2?
Bro, your upload speed is indeed correct. It is 800Mbps download, 200Mbps upload for the turboed 800Mbps. It is not symmetrical.
*
Yesterday went to LYP, saw quite a number of stock there. Ranging from RM6xx till RM7xx...

LOL then it should be router issue already.

My Old TP Link Archer C7 V2 cannot go beyond 400mbps download as well. Need to upgrade to Asus RT86U and finally can hit 800+ mbps download.
*
The speed achieved by RT-AC86U (800+ mbps), is via wifi or LAN?

For me Netflix source is never a problem, even on 30mbps, I'm more concern on my china streaming source and those offer sports streaming ahem source coz they never run smooth. I remember back in my maxis 10mbps old days, it used to be more stable.
*
It become more instable as of early this year (before the turbo era)

I believe due to more users having larger bandwidth due to the expansion to 100mbps package early this year/late last year, overseas connection seems to be slower. I remember back those days on Unifi 10mbps also rock solid those china server stream haha. Hence why now i just download chinese show or just stick to netflix.

QUOTE(insidemycloset @ Nov 2 2018, 01:23 PM)
I see, I might get an asus too.
I'm already looking for a new one right now. I just wanted confirmation from DIR-850L turbo'ed users before I blindly buy a new one and turns out the problem is on unifi's end.
But damn. these router companies, advertising their 'gigabit' routers that can't even achieve 800mbps on wired connection puke.gif .
*
Cause the gigabit is only on the 4 port switch, the WAN max DL and UL is not related to the port but more to the processor and other chipset related. I think my Archer C7 v2 previously also cant go beyond 100mbps Upload.

LAN. Wifi I believe on 5ghz it jumps between 400mbps to 500mbps depending on device, distance to router and etc.

Not sure how to hit the max speed as online material mention the 5Ghz actually can hit up to 2000+mbps. Most probably need to utilize all 4 bands or something

I see, thought if wifi can achieve 800+, then I will just get this model instead of GT-AC5300...

Is your RT-AC86U local or china set? How much you bought it?

Ok.. I want to know if there's any TM technician/installer/staff that can help me..

Last week, I saw some TM's staff/contractor adding phone pole for fibre nearby.
The few days later, they started adding cables up to my street (it's different taman, so i thought they only install at the taman)
But once finish, i realized that they don't pull the cable long enough till in front of my home, but turned and stop at a smaller lane...
Is there anyway to ask TM to extend the cable to my house or they can't?

Been years since I last register my interest at TMPoint/website... sad.gif

Today received feedback from TM,  regarding Rye 100 Mbps turbo upgrade to 500 Mbps instead of 800 Mbps.  The explanation in E-mail is infra limitation.  But CS told me is package price discount in TM system.
My ticket is closed.  No hope to get back 800Mbps.
*
Did you ask them for more discount since they claim is "infra limitation" ?

Good.

No more stupid roll-the-dice-guess-who-wins packages. Everyone pay the same according to the plan they subscribe to, that's the way it should have been in the first place.

Guys, I have excess CAT6 cable which previous I bought to relocate my router on the 1st floor of my house.

I'm planning to relocate back my router to the ground floor living area. And I wanted to cut my existing CAT6 into shorter length.

Any idea where can I do so and how much is the charges like usually?

What is the correct term for such cutting services?

Just login to the router and reset it or just press the reset button somewhere on the router when it is switched on.

IINM, Unifi 100Mbps@RM129 is considered as having fulfilled the MSAP, right? Same goes for the Maxis packages

This is what I think too. I don't see these getting a further 25% reduction. Hasn't the MSAP already been implemented? Isn't that why Maxis could bring out lower priced packages? And TM had to respond accordingly?

I think they go by the base price, not what price users are paying now. If the 300M is supposed to be priced at RM139, that is already a 25% reduction from RM179 30M previously.

If the 500M base price is RM229, a 25% reduction is about RM169/179. This may be the reason why some paying this price is getting turbo to 500M only.

They already said the 800M is RM329. 25% less is about RM249. That may be enough to deter many from getting 800M if they cannot cope with the bandwidth requirements for high speed packages. Maybe the 800M will have promo for less. And offers to upgrade from 500M will be given. That's the way they can push up their ARPU again.

Of course, I too hope there is a further 25% less coming, but sound unlikely that new 100M will be at RM99 and 30M will be at RM59. Well, 10X turbo too seemed unlikely a few months ago I guess... 2 months to wait to see how things turn out.

Hi all,

Just want to ask for opinions. Currently my in law house using AstroIptv that bundle with Internet 10Mbps. I think it is ridiculously expensive and slow! Then now, my in law wanted to terminate his AstroIptv plan bundle with the Internet and subscribe to Unifi.

My question are..

1) Is it good enough to subscribe to 30Mbps Unifi RM79 now with 60gb quota? or any plans you guys would recommend? I heard the quota isnt implemented untill next year?

2) I have my Unifi account still under contract for my own house of turbo 500Mbps and would it be any benefits if I subscribe under my name instead of my inlaws?

Thanks!

My in law's house is landed with FTTH infa btw

Does the 60GB quota include the IPTV, because that really eats bandwidth?

I think so, I went back to the shop at LYP who sold me the cable for such service. But they say didn't provide such service due to not free to do so~

Just wanna know roughly how much is the charges for such service? And is there any specific grade of connector to be used for CAT5E, CAT6 & CAT7? Or connector is standard among all type of LAN cables?
