I have apple G5 with mac OS X tiger, previously i did research on internet on how to disable the usb mass storage device. Then i got the solution by removing the file IOUSBMassStorageClass.kext from \system\library\extension...
After i remove the file, it work. the usb mass storage is not working..
i did try to put back the file to test whether i can enable it back, it also work.
But after few weeks later, i wish to enable it but this time i do the same step as mention, put back the file, but this time the usb mass storage is not working!
It show that the extention is not installed properly and ask me to re-install it!!
I have try so many times, but still cannot..
anyone know how to solve it? i need to use the usb mass storage...

Thanks in advance..

Aside from what was mentioned by abgzam, have you updated your system between the time you moved the extension out and now? If you have, it may be that there's some discrepency and you'll have to manually update the system again.
