Hi, just about to collect my Bezza 1.3 Adv in these few days, and I was offered a voucher for i-Kool tinted windows, so now I have to make a decision, is i-Kool a good brand? is the original solar and security film provided by Perodua good enough? What's your experience?

actually by right the car should come with tinted when u collect?

I suppose they did the tinted film before they send to me, but quite a lot people says it is not very good in blocking heat, so I'll probably change it.

How long have you been waiting?

I actually ordered on 7 Jan, but the previous dealer wasn't able to get it for me, until few days ago, I met another dealer, and he manage to book 1 for me on the next day, and I just need to ask the bank to change the dealership, I engaged the new dealer on 28, and this morning I just went to the bank and sign the document, should be able to collect my either today or tomorrow, or latest by Saturday if no issue with JPJ.

Hi, I got my Bezza (1.3 Advance) 2 months ago, did not drive everyday, current mileage is below 3k.
Just like to see if some of the 'problems' I found are actual problems with my car or just the overall design problem.

Fuel Consumption:

Did not drive everyday, drive to work (Cheras to PJ) 1 - 2 days of the week, drive to nearby area on weekend, so I do not stuck in the jam a lot, except for the days I drive to work. I drive quite gentle (90% of the time). I got the fuel consumption of about 13 Km/L, (quite disappointing as I expect somewhere around 16-18 Km/L), my friend told me that his old Proton Wira (>10 years old, well maintained, also got around 13 Km/L.)

Noise:

Noise insulation is bad, comparing to my old Alza. I can hear the water splashing rather loud when I drive on wet road, and also when the car hit by small stone, noise insulation is really bad. Engine noise is also quite loud comparing to my old Alza. But then, noise insulation is the design problem due to the cost, so not really a complaint.

Gear/transmission:

I feel like the gear does not optimise the power transmission, sometimes it is not responsive when I press the accelerator, it will lag a little, sometimes it does response quite well. I am not sure if this is the design issue or something wrong with my gearbox.

There is one incident (only 1 time so far, 4 days ago), I was driving on a flat road, on 'D', but it won't swift to another gear for over 100m flat road, it drove the rpm to 3k-4k. I will have to engage it to 'N', and 'D' again, then it worked normal again. Anyone faced this problem before?

Touch Panel/Entertainment:

Slow to boot up, slow to switch the display to rear camera. But I feel like the spec matches the price point, so nothing much to complaint, am I correct to say the spec matches the price point??

Eco Idle system:

It is just not 'smart' enough, there are 3 situations I think Eco Idle system is useless:
1) When you just stop for 1 second, like during traffic jam, the cars go move and stop.
2) When I stop the car and open my house gate, when the car stopped, it goes idle, but as soon as I release the break and get out of the car, the engine start again.
3) When I reverse parking, when I aligned the back of my car to the parking spot, it goes idle when I press the brake, and start again when I put on reverse gear.

These are the 3 situations I think the system is useless, and sometimes I forget to turn it off, but then nothing to complaint since it's the design of the car.

So, should I get a better fuel consumption or it's normal?
I will definitely ask the SC to check on the gears.

seem like most of the people get a rather good fuel consumption here...

Mine is 7 months old (~8000 KM), just did my first service 3 weeks ago. Up to today, my FC is only around 13.5 KM/L to 14.5 KM/L.
My friend's 13 years old Wira still got about 12-13 KM/L, and he is not a gentle driver.

To be fair, sometimes, I was caught in jam, the traffic from Cheras to PJ is horrible in the morning, but then, I only drive to work once a week, taking MRT on other day.

To be honest, I was expecting better FC, of course not 21 KM/L as advertised, but 16-18 KM/L is good enough for me, but below 15 KM/L is just disappointing for me, maybe I was expecting too much tongue.gif

Just want to rant a bit on the fuel consumption!

So, my Bezza Advance is 1 year old (1 year 1 months to be exact, about 15000 KM).

Bezza advertised to have 22 KM/L, so I expect to get 15-16 KM/L in real life, but from day 1 until my 2nd service on yesterday, I got around 13.5 KM/L, fine, I was always stuck in traffic jam for my journey from Cheras to PJ during peak hour, although I felt a bit unsatisfied with that level of fuel consumption, but I don't really complaint.

Then on yesterday, I went for the 2nd service, the service centre recommend for alignment and nitrogen, claiming will get better fuel consumption, so I agreed to it, since the price is quite reasonable. After the service, I reset the average fuel consumption meter, and has been driving around highway and housing area road on weekend, really no jam at all since it's weekend, and guess what? my average fuel consumption is 9.5 - 10 KM/L, that is even worse than my 16 years old Proton Saga (auto)!!!!

I don't keep heavy objects in my car, I only keep 1 pair of safety boot, I drive alone 90% of the time (I'm about 75kg), always keeping the tyre at the recommended 36 bar, and I don't drive harshly (ok, maybe 5% of the time), yet still get such a low level of fuel efficiency bangwall.gif bangwall.gif
