psychology tactic.....
that is sc price, nowadays should be around RM44x if not mistaken
*
Got the reply from one of the Perodua service centre. YUASA RM411.4 but I get the feeling they pushing for the normal battery.. As first time I asked(twice 2 different person), they suggested battery cost around RM200.. Then I stated again for IDLE STOP START.. they only changed to more expensive one.. But they didn't said the model or spec.. If i where purchase outside, what is the model I should be looking at?

PS: Further reading.. if put in the normal battery cannot use the ECO mode.. really can save RM200 fuel when using ECO? hmm

Oh, will check it out and do some price check. Do you happen to know the size of the battery? Length, width and height
Good to know, will consider this. Hopefully the battery can still last a week or so.
*
Perodua battery is Yuasa Eco (seems to be make from Japan from what i read in internet)
Another brand is Varta M42 from Germany.
While online is cheaper, there is a concern is there any special SOP to replace the battery as compared to non Eco car.

I believe bezza's OEM battery should be made in Malaysia. As this is an OEM battery, yuasa malaysia will not able to show it in their catalogue. Probably they can't sell it aftermarket as it is a conflict of interest. Try search Yuasa YBX7054 then you will able to see exactly the same thing like on our bezza.

As for the SOP, it didn't mention on the owners manual about any precautionary steps though. Since bezza is just a simple car with not much electronics on board, it's still ok, i mean i think. It's just a car with start stop function, nothing much more special than other cars though.
*
Hmm.. I thought is this Yuasa Eco but further reading the is 55B20L.. not 40

As for Yuasa YBX7054 the Cold Cranking Performance (Amps) EN1: 340.. Thought the OEM support to have 400++

PS: Anyone have the soft copy of the user manual ?

I hope it is simple, if it's just a swap without doing any configurations, I could DIY.
Thanks for your input on this smile.gif

I think it's part of a good service that they did the change while retaining the settings  thumbsup.gif
U got a point also. I'll call the SC to double check before making the purchase then.

By the way, CCA requirement has to be at least CCA 410, this answer came from the staff in SC.

Might narrow down to Varta if all is well, or perhaps any firm recommendation?

Seems that carput sells them and also does installation too
https://carput.my/battery-matcher/web/Batte...php?Brand=VARTA

However this Varta is CCA400, guess it's ok?
*
I been to Service Center last week .. to check the battery health.. saw the they set the figure to 420 .. and it return Great..status.. but felt the start up is slow..

I feel the same too.. Varta seems to be best choice and cheaper too..

Anyone got idea how much start stop battery will cost for bezza? Also can a normal battery used in bezza full spec with auto idle?
*
Between RM320 - RM411++ .. Not sure about normal battery as no one confirm it will damage the electric component or not but definitely have to turn off the echo idle feature

gs yuasa and perodua sc. i guess outside tarak. i will be happy to know if anybody able to get exactly same item outside and a price that is cheaper than sc.
*

I get the quote from SC around RM 559.2 + RM 10 (include installation & reset Motherboard) + SST = Around RM 600 ++ aledi..  shocking.gif
SC said last few weeks was around RM 400 ++, suddenly jump to RM 559 from perodua HQ
*
that price is ridiculous.. better go outside get the replace men for half the price.. but why need to reset the Motherboard...

just called the service centre.. really increased.. bangwall.gif .. forgot to ask the reset thing.. bangwall.gif bangwall.gif

Not sure about the outside shop, can ask around as the SC said some customer got issue with idle stop not working as outside didn't do the reset.
*
Anyway to reset our self without damaging the car? Wonder how much they charge, it we change the battery outside and bring the car to SC reset.

560CCA, wow! very good number. i can aim for this camel brand then.
let it run for a few days and observe. probably the battery haven't energized enough to activate eco idle. my experience on my car is it left idle for a week and it took 2 days of driving to get the Avengers logo back.
*
Eh.. thought suppose to aim for reliability instead of just high CCA?

today.. my car gas door stuck. according to the perodua technician spring snapped( the plastic that release the gas door when you pull the gas lever). From the way the technician said, sounds like a common problem. Anyone encounter the problem? Anyone tried alternative instead of replacing perodua original "spring"? Since is make out of plastic, I won't be surprise if it snapped again few years later.

quite long oledy. something to not what my car will breakdown after 4years.  sweat.gif
I doubt anyone can avoid it unless they sell out their car before 4-5 years? This is the first time I encounter such issue, my previous car (not perodua) do not have such problem. Just can't brain why they choose to use plastic instead of metal or similar material. If the car is over 10 years, the replacement might not just the door spring as they need to pry open the plastic nut holding the carpet down. rclxub.gif

QUOTE(AL12 @ Nov 22 2020, 10:54 PM)
Hi guys, got two questions:

1) Anyone have issue with bluetooth sometimes not working? The bluetooth logo should kelip but doesn't appear at all. Phone can detect the radio but cannot connect.
Only way to make it work is to stop and start engine again. Turn off player and on again doesn't work.. My radio is the basic one (not Advanced variant with screen)

2) Any recommendation for wet battery? Seems like nowadays battery replacement services only provide dry battery, but I find that wet battery lasts much longer, just need to top up battery water. I wonder if old battery can cause the bluetooth issue lol
*
Perodua service center is replacing advance battery with wet battery but at a hefty price.

Hi Guys.. have some questions here.. smile.gif

1. Is it better go renew car insurance by Perodua (PERODUA TOTAL PROTECT PLUS seems better) or just go online DIY ?
2. The car front sensor is faulty.. sometimes is working sometimes is not. I noticed if I press the button down without letting go .. is working fine..
3. When the car go through uneven road.. there are some sounds in front of the car (not the suspension.. not squeaking sound. the sound like a bit metal sounds running..).. just wondering what is the possible.
4. Any recommended outside service workshop and accessories in PJ ?

The service center I am going is best at doing normal car service.. Outside of it , is slow and possible no solution. My outside door panel snapped recently (means i pull the door handle , the door is not opened.).. walk in to the service center, took 1+ hours waiting time for each branch (visited 2 nearby branch and they said do not have stock and need to order .. makes me wonder do they actual keep the stock or not). Place the replacement order and set next appointment replace the door handle and problem no.2 and 3. On the actual appointment date, they just replace the door handle .. No.2 said no problem when i go check again.. the reply I got is need more time to check.. come back next time.. same goes for No.3 too bangwall.gif bangwall.gif

Thanks
