sent my Bezza Advance to Perodua yesterday, i think battery kong or alternator got issue. The battery is close to 600 I've been told if kena tukar haih

any Bezza Advance replace their battery with other then Yuasa? any feedback?
*
how old your car is? if alternator kong then you should claim it from perodua if your car still have warranty. it shouldn't be very close to 600 though. last time somebody share the price is like 500 something plus the reset labour charges. there's one member change to other brand and didn't perform reset and he no longer getting the avengers logo.

i do have a different practice.

1. Full Stop.
2. Shift to N (Leg Brakes ON).
3. Pull up the handbrake (Leg Brakes ON).
4. Leg Brakes OFF.
5. Confirm vehicle not moving.
6. Shift to P.

Engine off will happen either after step 6 or before step 6. But for Bezza, i do it after step 6 because the engine is not fully Off when it is not in P shift.

Hi guys , i found that the car undercarriage has alot of hole regardless which car , wonder what happen when we go thru water during heavy rain , wont water get into the car ?

i have found my car carpet near door ( side ) was slightly wet during raining day where i do go thru water. is that normal or something wrong?

this few day has been raining and i do check but no sign of water this time , i believe it was from the undercarriage when going thru water.

if it was so , then i would avoid water next time , sometime at jam and alot car or straight road , you just cant avoid it when the whole road is cover by water.

i think that was bad for the exhaust and brake.
*
you plan to plug the holes?

No , i just hope that when we go thru " normal " malaysia road when during heavy rain , the water wont go into the cabin.

if it will drain out / dry out very fast or only very minimal still ok , i scare rust and cant see.

maybe it does not matter even rust , i just here to learn haha.

so that if i got chance to upgrade to better car , i know which car to choose.

after some research on how these drain way work , wonder those who do AutoFoam on chassis will create problem or not.
*
there will be a rubber plug wherever the hole really penetrates into the cabin, i mean if the hole is piercing through until the cabin interior during manufacturing, it could be by design or some other purposes. So long the rubber plug is intact, water won't go in.

And whole car body shelf is soak into a pool of chemical for rust proofing purpose, under normal circumstances, it won't rust for like 10 years (a car design lifetime). Unless you run through a pool of salt water or other corrosive liquids then it wil be different story.

the new proton saga NVH is better than bezza by many miles i believe. haven't sit into one. but i do felt that bezza NVH is just a tat better than old proton saga BLM/FL/FLX, still the hollow insulation minus out the engine noise (the engine itself is quite refine so long you driving it gently, it still roars and noise intrusion still happens if you whack it pass 4000rpm)

if you really into driving pleasure, go get a mazda. should be the cheapest refined driving cars around.

QUOTE(Goodboy92 @ Jun 26 2019, 12:49 PM)
Ok , then maybe the water go in from the gap of plastic by passenger shoes , maybe will put some newspaper into the plastic , more test needed during rain

Bezza engine really refine
But if sedan is not needed , myvi /Iriz is better , persona 1.6 might be too much to be economical

Proton quality still not there , if electrical problem still ok but proton more like mechanical problem which wear out faster than it should be , if replacement can fix still ok , certain car the solution is change part way frequent than it should. It is a much fun car than perodua.
*
or maybe those plugs came loose, it is possible, so check it out. if passenger shoes only it shouldn't be really wet.

yeah, hatch will be fun to drive, a tat more nimble.

proton, i personally think that they are picking up at least from where they are, while for perodua, i think that they are falling back or remain from where they are. i'm talking about quality wise. Build quality, part quality etc.

I realised that sometime when I’m in P gear switching to D gear it will have the kroong kind of sound. Does anyone encounter that?

Question:
1. is your car parked on slope?
2. Do you put on your handbrake fully?

Hi guys just wanna share hav just used an OBD2 bluetooth scanner, it works with Bezza 1.3 (Av). The car supports native OBD2 unlike earlier Peroduas. Nice stuff to check on vehicle health from time to time.

Car is at 60k mileage. Recently notice radiator fan spinning more often, especially when AC is set more towards hot or completely off. Found out that our Bezza turns on the radiator fan at 101 degree celcius sharp. So probably the coolant needs flushing & replacment or shared AC/engine fan motor is degrading. Could b coolant pump degrading too.

Also notice long term & short term fuel trims (LTFT / STFT) are heading towards positive.. interesting. Seems ECU sees engine runs very slighty lean and its adding fuel. Many causes possible n will probably will try DIY preventive maintenance stuff that am capable of.

Change battery recently about 2 week ago and seems like the O2 sensor did not manage to relearn yet...

Only thing it doesnt seem to support any transmission parameters and recently, my gearbox once in a blue moon has a little soft click during 2-3 shifts, will be interesting if someone made a plugin that can read these

All in all really cool for a nerd  😎
*
nice one bro. another observation is the blue light went off at 50C sharp. About your LTFT and STFT, it means that your engine think that your AFR is too rich so it lean it out. I'm kinda surprised that the o2 sensor took so long time to learn though.

I think fuel trim still manageable problem bro, n read that LTFT concern start when it exceed +10%... O2 sensor will try a few relearn procedure found on google. Many state need some highway runs at stable constant speed. So far only did mostly city driving... Most takut the gearbox, my gearbox got history of sounds and thuds, previously solved at sc by adjusting linkage cable, until now.. The sound is like a fingernail tapping lightly on concrete wall at 2 > 3 shift
*
i kinda suspect your o2 sensor might be having a slight issue of getting the right reading (accuracy issue). Maybe the o2 sensor heater element deteriorated.

if your car still in warranty coverage, still no need so worried about. On and off my bezza's gearbox having some thud sound as well. It happens usually when i hesitated on the throttle when the gearbox doing gear change (probably the ECU and TCU trying to figure out what the heck i'm doing laugh.gif ). Other than that, it still ok.

Can elaborate what is fuel trim +12%?

Mine I give up the warranty already, waste time going and need to argue, but no point argue if they tell you is it like that, mine they rectify the problem of Aircond and said 1 week will call when item arrived, now few week d.
For the yeeee sound at 90kmh been told standard operation, now I doubt abit after seeing your post.
*
i think the yeee sound has no resolution. something similiar on my house alza gearbox as well and it is still running well. as usual, when nothing is broken that impedes the car functionality, sc will not entertain you. they will say it is normal. try to check out your lower arm bush, i bet it looks a bit rusty. I highlight to sc and they told me it is normal. while my house alza's lower arm bush still looks nice.

Yes, mine do have but not as serious as the post last time.

I believe the new myvi will have similar problem.

Hopefully all these problem won't create anything big later. As the reason we bought Perodua.
*
maybe wait until someday got perodua cars with lower arm breaking down in the road then perodua will start to say that is an isolated case, like the famous alza torsion beam came off after accident issue. til now perodua didn't do any recall exercise to get the owners to go for a check. or maybe they diam diam doing it i don't know.

We have only 2 choice at this price, Proton or Perodua, what to do. Maybe take leave go sit at sc to get the problem solve. If cannot solve, take leave drive all the way to another sc.
*
you've got proton saga FL now.

now with a 4 speed auto!!

looking at geely's line up, i noticed that they dont have a small car segment...
guess the saga, persona/iris line up will be around for a while cos geely doesnt have anything better to replace them with.
*
geely should have such models in their local line up i guess. the saga platform is old already, it surely need a replacement for next generation. iriz persona platform should be newer one, maybe derived from preve.

i don't think perodua will be sitting duck as bezza and Axia is approaching FL stage, probably Bezza Advance FL will have ASA (perodua do claim they will bring ASA to lower end models), 6 airbags, floating infotainment system, 6 speakers and LED lights without any changes to the price tag, once again Proton saga will be beaten. and perodua going to sell like hot cake again.

of course! perodua and proton will be keeping each other honest. Imagine without myvi, we still buying overpriced saga iswara; imagine without iriz, we won't be seeing myvi with ASA and 6 airbags. Without a hot cake honda city, we won't be seeing such a good speeced vios. It is good for us.
