QUOTE(JustcallmeLarry @ Oct 14 2019, 11:32 PM) wta are absorbers important part of the car? Bcs today I sent my car for service and when in the traffic lights while on the way back home I saw in the receipt it says recommend to replace rear absorber leaking. I did some google about absorber and they do advice to change. Maybe you can confirm yourself first whether there is leaking or not. How to inspect I don't know.So I called the service agent that dealt with me, he apologizes to me says he didn't see it and that he will change it during the next service. The next service for me will be in six month, is it really ok to be driving with a leaking absorber for 6 months??? YS Khong YouTube do mention not to hold on brake too long downhill, use lower gear and reduce braking time by heavier braking , do it safely though, sudden brake can cause loss grip too, the idea is to let brake cool down thru wind at speed. Or more cooling time and less heating. |

best practice when you driving down hill is go as slow as you could. don't pump the brakes so much to prevent overheating, utilize more engine braking by shifting to lower gears. On bezza, the lowest you can go is 2, but perform downshifting at an appropriate speed (refer to your owners manual about the downshift speed).
and i personally don't think a leaking absorber will cause accident when you drive safely. |

Ah yes..
I forgot to add.. Braking downhill also depends on ur mass.. The higher the mass the more work the brakes must perform to slow down. Physics.. So, higher mass = slower speed. Lower mass = higher speed Before the brakes over heat. Open ur ac vents when going down hill. U can smell ur brakes cooking. When u smell that, it's a good indicator that u must slow down. I came down genting twice, 1 with high load, 1 empty. Can feel the difference when the brakes begin to fade.. With load, within 3 minutes start the steep decent can smell the brakes cooking aledi.. Safe driving ahead fellas. This post has been edited by jtan.pdr: Oct 16 2019, 10:50 PM |

Also bcs he is driving so fast I sure he needs to press the brakes way harder to slow down, wonder how come he never gets brakes overheating, is it bcs he is using new cars?? |

Hey Guys,
Got quite an emergency here. The low fuel light just went off and I went straight to a petrol station just to find that my fuel door is stuck! Is there anyone here that knows any other way to open it? |

QUOTE(CrossX @ Oct 17 2019, 09:56 PM) Hey Guys, I experienced this before on a Myvi. You need to pull on the fuel release lever, while another try to pry it open as you're pulling the lever.'Got quite an emergency here. The low fuel light just went off and I went straight to a petrol station just to find that my fuel door is stuck! Is there anyone here that knows any other way to open it? One of the reason the foreman gave me was the spring might be stuck, or the release is jammed. This post has been edited by vinnyming: Oct 18 2019, 03:32 PM |

QUOTE(singk @ Oct 12 2019, 11:44 PM) i think should have, try ask those perofrmance garage and see. but then, if you really wanna do it right, it involves a tonnes of other ancillary works like retune the suspension, strengthen relevant parts and assemblies etc, i mean if you looking at over all. Of course you can just upgrade to a stronger brake system alone though, the car should able to last until you sell it (unless you plan to drive it for 20 years) Speaking of lifespans, how long you think this bezza can last? When is a good time to sell it off? |

My car came with Hankook Kinergy EX
175/65/R14. Was wondering if there's any advice from you guys about going for wider tires, or bigger rim? I know going bigger rim/wider tire, you're going to sacrifice the eco advantage already (assuming that Perodua engineers already calculated the optimum settings for Bezza to be 175/65/R14) |
