Can I hand carry durian for domestic flight in Airasia?
Not the whole durian of course, but opened and stored in airtight plastic container.

can.. durian ss2 package until air tight.. no smell at all.. u DIY at home.. dunno how good.. ask yourself this.. do you want to be the one to ground a flight?

yes u can. as long as it is tightly sealed. the issue is the smell, not the item itself.

Better don't risk it. Some people are really sensitive to the smell.

Pack nicely and check in luggage.

Make damn sure it's airtight

Close the container in a room and go out for a few minutes

Come back in and smell it again

Knock it around also to make sure the lid won't come off if you're rough with it or another passenger smashes his bag on it

I've packed some nice Tangkai Panjang from Kedah, on flight to KL, MAS flight
in air tight container, wrapped with cling wrap teballl

That night no smell, next day going to airport ada smell abit.

check in counter ada smell, check in org query, tai chi mcm mana ckp baju kena durian and all, and they are many bags. Mmng suspect la already, but he suspected my boss punya bag

sudah waiting hall...selamat....15 min later ppl called my name, and there stand my bag at the waiting hall "Encik, bawa durian ke?"

because the loading ppl noticed the durian smell inspite of all the kerosene lingering in the air...

I flew thai airways bringing a good kilo of durian
Stopover in KLIA (1),then moved to KLIA 2...got confiscated there...
So sad, that day.

I got the airtight pack from durian SS2 store last time and when I pass thru the custom scanning they stop the durian pack said either i eat them all before you board or throw away. Then i ask why they said no why is whole malaysia airport rules 🤷🏻‍♂️

My sister packed 3 food container last year, put in freezer kao kao then sealed it so tight I cant smell a single thing putting my nose on the container.

I surprise nobody knows the trick . Ask HK / China ppl how they smuggle MSW back to Mainland .

Yea maybe i bad luck, i changed 3 lanes for the scan still got stop with their airtight packing (aluminium foil sealed airtight)

TS please post ur flights details here so we can know which flight berpotensi to be delayed.

The general rule is NO in ALL flights.

They might suspect ur trying to smuggle something else and use durian smell as cover
