Hi guys, I working abroad and I use exchange service sent my salary back..
then they email to me ask me this fund source and reason..

They will tax me etc? they said want to do documentation.

Hence the bank wants to confirm the source of that money especially when it exceeds USD 10,000 per transaction. You have to declare the source of income and it is up to them to report to LHDN.

Not exactly.

Not taxable only if your income is from legit source and u paid the tax(at whatever country u worked at) or able to show the bank that u have been paying the tax at whatever country u worked at.

ok for example I work in a country that no tax, so I don't pay tax here..
so I transfer back to Malaysia, my source I can prove legit with pay slip..
I wont get taxed by Malaysia rite? since my money I earned is from other country.

In that case just clarify/declare with the bank and u are done. Standard practice by all banks to seek/clarify the source of deposit/income from all clients as the banks are answerable to Bank Negara.
