QUOTE(xiaobaiwm @ Nov 1 2018, 01:15 AM) Recently, private hospital bills are crazy sky rocket. Just hi bye the doctor can easily cost RM1k and above. this is misleading.. consultation only(no test and no use of equipment) by specialist should be below RM 300 range, i went to prince court and gleneagles before. if you think they are overcharging, you can always make a complaint. once you start to do test and equipment usage and disposable stuff usage (gloves/needles), the cost will go up for sure. |

PPUM and PPUKM are semi gov hospitals. Means their fee might be slightly higher and have different policies with those gov hospitals.
If u want gov hospitals, would suggest you to go to hospital putrajaya, or sungai buloh. Depends on where u live, most are about the same actually. |

Depending on your health problem, you need to visit different hospital be it Private/Gov/ semi gov Hospital.
Example : For heart issue, need to refer to Gov Hospital Serdang. Some procedure such as angiogram/ bypass surgery...u may need to wait months. But you save money maybe few hundred buck for treatment. Private..bypass surgery nowadays gonna cost ur rm60k, 4 years ago still around rm35k Ppum private wing cheaper coz semi gov. But one thing about medical cost...hard to estimate...especially when u have more than one health problem...go visit hospital for one issue suddenly got diagnose with multiple other health problem. 😂 |

PPUM is good.
but the waiting time and procedure takes time la. you confirm need to take leave and the car parking limited. and the Lif is always crowded on peak hours - 9-11am (monday/tuesday usually) UMSC is beside PPUM, this one not sure. but in PPUM theres also UMSC ward (usually Level 9/10) |

went to hospital shah alam for my kid's treatment she had a cyst on her lip. on the first visit, we went to the kaunter hasil, then to the specialist clinic, and proceeded with minor surgery on the same day. specialist was free that day i guess? usually they will set another date for later process. arrived around 8:00 AM and everything was settled by 12:00 PM (the specialist even told us to get breakfast before the surgery, lepak dulu). cost? RM0, lol. the next follow-up was very fast too. cost? RM5. that's it. went to a dental clinic a few days before, and they estimated up to RM1k, lol MegaCanonF liked this post
