Hi,
I have an old Mac Pro 2008, heard that it could be fitted by 8GB Memory Stick, true? Which means, full RAM will be 64GB?

Yes, it's verified by OWC. 8x 8GB.

It depends if you can utilize all the memory. Most ppl doesn’t. Even if they do. A 2008 model will bottleneck by other hardware spec.

Thanks again, Wei! That's true ah!
So, what's your suggestion? Half of it will do? 32GB? or could be lesser like 16GB?

You can start with double of what you have if you facing insufficient memory issue.

Thanks Wei for your precious suggestion!
Say, I have 2X2GB now. I just grab 2X8GB first ,then start the test from here?

Does Brand matter?

Older model best use FB-DIMM with Apple certified heatsink. Else you will face stability issue.

Sometime you can’t even turn on the unit. So best look for Mac Pro specific.
