It's heavy for a MBA, similar weight to MBP.
I switched from MBPTB13 to MB12 (both 16GB RAM) due to the weight, very noticeable when carry whole day.

My situation probably different, I have iMac 5k at home, office have 24 inch screen plug into the MacBook 12, so portability is priority.
If I must choose only 1 machine as all rounder and carry everywhere, definitely I will choose MBP13TB QC version. This MacBook Air I feel neither here nor there... LOL |

QUOTE(iStand_store @ Oct 31 2018, 09:06 PM) being too portability isnt a good thing sometime as it sacrificed a lot of necessary features like what westlife has mentioned, macbook 12 is only for really light user. Everyone thought Macbook 12 is for light user, exactly what ppl think MacBook Air few years back is for surfing or email purposes, in fact both MacBook 12 and MacBook Air (previous version) really can perform, don't expect high, at least office work, photoshop, illustrator is not an issue at all. Especially MacBook 12 2017 version, don't be surprise, it's fast and outperform MBP 13 with Retina display.in term of portability air 13 is more than enough of what a notebook should be, not saying the new smaller size n lighter weight macbook pro 13, the differences are really negligible. |
