I am using one now MBA Space Grey, and in comparison to MBP, the sound is tad better, the touchid is super fast and lighter too!
you're right about the display being not bright enough - that's if you put MBP side by side. Else, it is typical BAU to me. |

So far my MBA 2018 didn't gave the double stroke key issue. Maybe it is by batch of butterfly keyboard.
