RFS150 no dip stick, only glass window.

Can clearly see the oil when in straight position, without double stand.

I have made some simple cost of Engine Oil simulation for mileage up to 20000km using below oils:

a) Petronas Sprinta F700 price RM29(cheapest). <<< Semi
Change every 1000km

b) Silkolene Pro 4 price RM48. <<< Fully
Change every 2500km

Cost for changing above oil:
a) 606
b) 439

Notes: All included cost RM55 for Ipone 15.5.

So, its really obvious, for the cost of Engine Oil alone can save around RM167 if I using Fully synthetic.

Cost wise, still thinking either Semi (1500km Max) or Fully (2500km Max).

Hmmm

RFS150 Recommended service interval by manufacturer is 3000km.
And yes, it is short.

when i first change the eo for my rfs150i, i used mizu semi synthetic 10w40. Bought it from Lazada for RM 14 because it was 9.9 promo. I noticed that after changing the eo, changing gears are a lil bit smoother. unfortunately, the engine is rougher and louder. Gonna try something else once i reach 3000km

semi synthetic for RM14/liter biggrin.gif
engine rougher and louder meaning low quality/fake oil
this one should change oil every 200km

Just thought TS should know if manual advises to use 10W EO, you shouldn't use 15W EO as it's has a higher viscosity hence it'll take longer for the oil to warm-up and protect the whole engine. It will also stress your EO pump as you're using a higher viscosity oil than the one recommended by your manufacturer.

My personal advice stick to the 10W-40 range. You can go lower such as 5W-40/50 or 0W-40/50 EO.

Noob question, why calculated by changing oil every 1k Km for sprinta?

from my experience regardless its mineral, semi or fully synth as long the changing oil interval is stick to the manufacturing spec, should no problem.. if the book says 3000km then change on 3k km.. why need to change sooner?

Is not that the bike is used for Track Day everyday..... and do change the oil filter if the engine has an oil filter...

What will happened if we full throttled the bike all the time on the highway?

Will the engine oil deteriorate faster?

Mineral - easiest

Semi - Moderate

Fully - Hard

Nothing... unless the engine oil is fake or not the right spec or the amount is less than the what the capacity of the oil needed...

Follow what's written on your manual. Semi or fully depends on your wallet. Semi has shorter interval.

U are using bajaj bike?
*
that correct ??

as far i know semi syn not for short interval..

some authorized dealer said semi mostly for low CC.. mean while full syn for high CC 250 and aove...

its not effect on interval..
same like Car too rite ?
even Myvi is suitable use Semi syn...interval remain saje..5000km -7000 km..

synthetic type is suit on engine performance based on CC..

you are right about synthetic blend OCI...which is approx 7000km... Fully can extend up to 10,000km

Manual stated service every 3000km, and I plan to purchase Petronas Sprinta 15W50 or Liqui Moly which is semi synthetic. And change every 2000km~2500km.

Still thinking better go with fully or not? Cost wise?
*
Always stick with whatever the manual says. Service center ni kadang2 is purely motivated by profit, so they will recommend whatever gives them the max margin.

That said, kalau duit banyak...nak pakai fully synthetic & tukar every 1000km pun boleh...tapi jangan smp enjin rosak sbb guna engine oil yg salah spec, cukup.
