Hi, Recently I found that there is a problem on the photos taken with my camera. Almost on all the photo taken in dark area, I can see some white dots . When I zoom in or out, the white dots will move around (a bit), in certain zoom factors the dots will disappear. Is anyone face this before? Why is this happen? is it something wrong with my camera? Please advice. Thank you!
Dots are visible around the UPS area. This is part of the picture taken, full size is 6 mega pixels. Those dots can only be seen if you open the picture in actual size. This post has been edited by teq: Jun 5 2007, 10:36 PM

hey, dude, wrong subforum.
and anyways, long exposure will result in some hot pixels, meaning you'll have dot's that are white. but since i dun think this is a long exposure snapshot, it is probably just chroma noise which usually appear on dark areas in high ISO.

given that everything was auto and the lighting condition is not favourable. I would say that the camera set the iso to be rather high, shutter speed to be rather low and aperture to be rather wide. which resulted in a blurry, high noise photo that is usually produced by a compact camera.
