 How I Can Upgrade My Old 380 Optiplex, Somebody please guide me type of parts

I have Optiplex 380 small form factor. Currently it have 2gb ram ddr3 . 160GB HDD. and have intel core 2 duo 2.9GHz in it. Thinking of SSD but most website said that the motherboard cannot support it. Please help me. I am afraid if i buy ssd the motherboard cannot utilize it.

someboy please advice me what I can buy for upgrading icon_question.gif

It can only handle 3Gb/s though

Also consider adding a low profile card such as GT 730 (PCIe states 25W power delivery, so GT 1030 maybe not much luck)

upgrade ram up to 8GB /ssd 250 GB but it'll run at 3Gbs but still fast /u'll notice the speed up load times. Perhaps remove CD Drive/and add new HDD.

Just change HDD to SSD, it can work without issue.
Then add on 1pcs of 4GB RAM is enough.

ok. meaning if i buy any ssd it still works at 3Gbs but not fully utilize?

Yup, 5400rpm/7200rpm HDD - 100-120Mb/s read/write speeds vs minimum 220Mb/s for SSDs
