I don't have a unifi plan yet.
So what I would like to do is a configuration testing.
This test is done in a VM.

I have read a few guides on the internet.
But all of them requires 3 ports on the nic.
- WAN
- LAN
- IPTV

What can I do if I have only 2 ports?
Basically, I visualize my network to be like this:
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

I have below setup on opnsense.
I have 2 ports, each for WAN and LAN:
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

From WAN interface, I have tagged 2 VLANs for 500 and 600:
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

I have created an interface for each VLAN:
VLAN_500 for pppoe
VLAN_600 for IPTV (in the guides, I will need to create another interface for IPTV with one port(example em2) which will be bridged to this interface)
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

But I don't have an extra port.
So I am stuck until this point.
What can I do?

I have a smart switch, that I will connect its port 1 (tagged with vlan 500 and 600) to the port em0 of opnsense.
The smart switch will have vlan 500 and 600 untagged on some ports that will go to wifi ap, desktop pc and IPTV.

Please help, thank you.

Hi.

I assume you have at least 4 ports available at the smart switch and 2 ports available at your router. Here is my suggestion.

Smart switch:
1. Port 1 - tag vlan 500 (internet) and vlan 600 (iptv). Connect this to unifi modem.
2. Port 2 - tag vlan 500 only. Connect this to router port 1 (for WAN)
3. Port 3 - Connect this to router port 2 (for LAN)
4. Port 4 - tag vlan 600 only. Connect this port to your hypptv box.

Router:
1. Port 1 - this is interfacing you unifi WAN
2. Port 2 - this is interfacing your LAN
3. Configure the pppoe accordingly.

Using this configuration, you can bypass the router for your iptv traffic. Hope this helps.

Thank you.
I will use this method when there is no other way.

Unless your OPNsense have 3 ports, else I think the method from chikanosz works best for you as I used that way previously.

I have just found out that unifi RM129 does not come with iptv.
It comes as an add on RM30.
