PETALING JAYA (Bernama): The RM2.6 billion donation allegedly received by former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has nothing to do with the government of Saudi Arabia.

This was said by Foreign Minister Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah, who revealed that Saudi Foreign Minister Adel Ahmed Al-Jubeir said as much during the latter's visit to Wisma Putra on Friday (Oct 26).

Touching on the 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) financial scandal and the alleged donation of RM2.6 billion, Saifuddin also said Adel had ensured that the Saudi government would cooperate in the investigations regarding the two issues.- Bernama

No Saudi government official has ever said that there was any donation from them. I think only Zahid said he met someone who said it was a donation.

Not to plotek, but technically what the Arab Saudi Foreign Minister said didn't contradict whatever Jibby said also. Jibby said that the donut came from the Royalties of Arab Saudi, not from Arab government.

But I'm more curious that the Arab Foreign Minister don't seem to verify once more that the donut came from the Arab king like what Jibby and Zahid Komedi claimed Arab Foreign Minister have "told them" face to face.
