PETALING JAYA (Bernama): The RM2.6 billion donation allegedly received by former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has nothing to do with the government of Saudi Arabia.

This was said by Foreign Minister Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah, who revealed that Saudi Foreign Minister Adel Ahmed Al-Jubeir said as much during the latter's visit to Wisma Putra on Friday (Oct 26).

Touching on the 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) financial scandal and the alleged donation of RM2.6 billion, Saifuddin also said Adel had ensured that the Saudi government would cooperate in the investigations regarding the two issues.- Bernama
