i quite shock with my brisbane 3600 paired with my abit nf-m2s (bought at thundermatch at RM165.
with the lack of setting in bios (vcore, vmem, ram timing) which is so important in overclocking, i can push this brisby to 281x9.5 = 2669MHz with prime stable. but the screenie was delete.
i havent try more coz no time to prime. boot perfectly when 285x9.5 (2707MHz) but lazy to prime.
try 290x9.5 but cannot reboot. i think its because of ram timing. even i lowered the divider (like using ddr 533, timing 4-4-4-12), i cant set the timing makes it reach the limit

anyway, i recognized sumthing weird. my 3800+ windsor paired with abit kn9s, before this, running 250x10 (2500MHz), using for 24/7. but now, if i underclocked to default, 200x10, my system cannot reboot. my mobo is a bit faulty i think? unsure.gif

i think is not faulty....
try checking other setting....
or ur system already get used to OC setting and when get to default it is not stable...like u must use the OC setting alwiz....like what happen to me when im using opteron 939.... sweat.gif  sweat.gif

anyway, i already rest jumper. firstly it will boot ok and as usual, press F1 to continue, DEL to Enter setup because of the FDD 1.44 thingy. after the reset, all must be in default setting aite? ram timing, ram divider, htt, multiplier etc. then, try to reboot, cannot on. then, need to reset the jumper back to enter setup and overclock it back to 2.5GHZ tongue.gif

@camedemac

my abit nf-m2s only last for less than a week after xtreme OC and yeap u need to unhide the bios option using modbin6.

@xixo_12
yerp its overclockable but why dont u go for mATX like TA690G or TF-7050 it have all feature plus its overclockable.

actually, i'm not quite interest to oc my nf-m2s, only for minor oc only. but after u just said about this, later i will try tongue.gif

ive tried to oc manually..
now my vcore is 1.425, 250 x10.5= 2.6ghz
whenever i change the frqncy to 260,its not stable.pc wont boot.
i cant change the multiplier. can i?
*
have u play with your ram timing?
1.425v is quite high to get 2.6GHz IMO
