Depend on your hardware batch actually.
Some can achieve with low Vcore, some high Vcore.
Limitation? It might be both or one of them laugh.gif

i'm using default voltage..in bios it is at 1.35..previously using the old bios, can only get to 2.5ghz on default..now, after flashing to the latest bios from rebel haven, finally manage in getting 2.6...to get 2.7, too much to pump, 1.4v to stable and pass orthos..

Yes... Windsor with default voltage can achieve 2.5GHz indeed a very good result.
Last time, I using Windsor when achieve 2.5GHz, already pump quite a lot of Vcore.

indeed it is..
my previous Windsor require 1.475v to achieve 2.5GHz sweat.gif
thus, the temperature was quite high..

============================================

guys, after i flashed my BIOS to R69AM605.BST, the results disappoint me sad.gif
i cant even went to 2.5GHz (263MHz), which i already achieved it easily with the previous BIOS version..
the setup will hang at the boot screen, and suddenly it restarted.. sweat.gif
any idea whats wrong here?

I think you missed something. Probably the 2T thing, or anything. 605 bios is great, I don't think it limits down the fsb

no i didnt..if i still using the 1T setting, of course the beep sound will be heard, or my pc will went to blank screen..
but my problem is it will automatically restarted at boot screen, even when i use the same setting like before with my previous bios..
now achieving only 2.5GHz is so hard to do sweat.gif

anyway how about the other setting like spread spectrum and anything else? im afraid i 'ignored' them..

Really achieving 2.5GHz so hard? To me I achieve 2.8GHz easily using that same BIOS. I don't know what went wrong sweat.gif

How about Vcore? Got any difference?

hi , vcore has no problem .. i've tried to raise the vcore to 1.71v for testing purpose, no problem at all. Ya this board don't have the" memory divider bug",u can see from the screenshot, i'm using 667 divider rclxms.gif

Problems are:

1) clockgen is not supported yet
2) max vdimm 2.44v only
3) safe mode as sensitive as usual

the rest yet to be discovered....
