what GC are u currently using?

Most modern GFX can go up that that temp, it still operates fine. The only problem is that the heat emitted from it will affect the temps of other components as well...

The temps on both cores are usually different depending on the load on each of the cores. Usually core 1 will be used more so often than core 2 therefore resulting in your increased heat in core 1. Its not an issue to be worried about =)

If you want to oc, better stay away from Giga due to limited option of overclocking.
And for the processor, nth wrong there. If 5200 F3 Windsy, den lagi best  laugh.gif

Mind to clarify a little on what are the features that are lacked in gigabyte series bro? my current gigabyte is my 3rd am2 mobo... and since ive experience only a limited numbers of boards, i cant really see what are the options that im lacked of.

hmm.. that doesnt seem to be the case with my board. Im using the GA-MA69G-S3H. The ram settings are highly tweakable, even the NS settings is available at my disposal... I have access to basically all the ram settings that is tweakable...

the F1 key on my bios only unhide the RAM/HT settings, where else the HTT/multiplier/vcore/vdimm/Nb and Sb V/pcie is all in the MIT.

I can hit 3.2Ghz with my board 1.55 vcore.. max vdimm on my board is 2.4v.

Did you try to update the bios?

the correct way to say, brisbane is easier to overclock and does not require a great board to get it around 3ghz. On the other hand, windsor is harder to OC due to the heat/vcore and its pretty stubborn. But once you get a windsy up, its way faster than brisby clock per clock.

btw... im planning to change my board... any nice board to recommend? somewhere around 3-450 budget. My current board only restricts me to 1.55vcore.. and my temps are pretty cool @ 1.55 too. i thought that it might be the DTS for inaccurate temps, but after using an external sensor.. my temps are still great.. 1.55v iddle @ 32c while loads up 45-50c.

1.Biostar Tforce 690G A690
im sure that this mobo we can't adjust multiplier
http://www.pcstats.com/articleview.cfm?articleID=2106

anothers mobo that used 690G chipset
3.Asus M2A-VM
4.Asus M2A-VM-HDMI
5.Gigabyte MA69GM-S3H

the gigabyte mobo is more expensive compared with other motherboard.
dunno how far it can go for overclocking.

im currently using the MA69G-S3H, what i can say is,... its not that bad, but aint perfect too. The best part, you can run crossfire on it. Currently my brisby highest clock is 3.2Ghz with this board, max supported voltage in this board is, 1.55vcore and 2.4vdimm. Rams setting are highly tweakable. Well.. i havent used many other am2 boards, but i find the 1.55vcore limiting my overclock, even on max vcore setting, my temps are still good. What are the max voltage that other boards should be?

try more vcore, say... 1.5v. AFAIK, when stock vcore starts to stop ur overclocking, 1.4 isnt much of a help, 1.5 is.

thanks =)
btw, my question isnt answered yet as of back few previous pages.

Im looking for an upgrade to my mobo as of currently im using GA-MA69G-S3H. Any nice recommendations? something below RM500 would be good.. anything more expensive i think it would be wiser to move to intel platform...

Im actually pretty satisfied with my current board, but the max voltage this board allows are 1.55vcore and 2.4vdimm. Any other better board?

i dont really mind which stepping is it, since you already tested and confirmed thet all of them are able to hit 3ghz with 1.25v thats good enough for me and provides ample geadroom for further overclocking.

Ill get in touch with you again either tomorrow or the day after after ive made the transfer to you icon_rolleyes.gif
