Evo - Of course its 1967....stupid me....I found that the first corner Estoril is fun....u just throw ur car into it and lift abit for turn 2.....the car needs to be balanced under braking to take the uphill righthander turn 3 tho...very2 nice combination...
Red - Sorry tak perasan that calender.....i'll add it up tonite... Sabelt - I agree with you...thats y im not too tempted to switch to G25...my drving will never live up to it. For now i think i'll learn the fundamentals with my momo....i'll upgrade to g25 when im ready....and of course when i have the fund...Now im building a new rig....the rig is like ur engine....i dont want to concentrate too much on my steering while my engine sucks. Many2 factors can affect ur driving...simple2 thing that u wont believe. Check ur seating for example...it can give you big improvement if ure comfortable with ur seating position...not to say just cushioned seats but the position of ur wheels pedals and keyboards are suitable for u. Seat comfortably and let the rest of the things come to you...not the other way around. I also wear socks to help pedal modulation.....inspired by Evo...Ive been wearing it since Birmingham and does help.... Among other things of course... ryugan - montel nyer hang....LOL |

Yes seating position is the most important thing to check before going out. It helps in a real life and simulation world. Do some search around how race drivers seat in real life.
Of course with my current seat cant really match the buckets. Do it right and you'll be able to 'feel' the whole car and make consistent lap time. If your hands are too far away from the wheel you might not be able regain back your unsettle car on time. Cross arm technique plays a big role too. Disclaimer: Not everything from real world can be simulate to sim world. This post has been edited by sabelt: Aug 16 2007, 12:29 PM |

Roger that evo...
Now i cant get over the discomfort of office chair having to pull ur legs together to step on the throttle....im planning to get a dirt cheap bucket seat just to have my thighs snugged in. I tried to adjust my driving position to the driving position in my car coz its the only car i regularly drive and its kinna natural to drive in a position that ure used to. Monitor also not too high or too low...adjust to what ure used to...mine i set it that the horizon in the gamespace is dead straight in front of me without having to chin up or look down too much. attention to these kinna things can shave off tenths if not seconds off ur lap time. Disclaimer noted LOL....yeah in simulation, physical feedback comes through ur wheels and to ur arms plus visual cue and audio....make sure everything is functioning as it should. My prob now is that im using an aging rig and to maintain fps i have to sacrifice lots of details on track. It means i have to concentrate extra hard coz its harder to pick a marker with less detail. I'll try to balance between details and fps as much as i can with wut i have now. |

QUOTE(O'Connor @ Aug 16 2007, 02:19 PM) My message was intended to those who has not done so.On the side note, when choosing your car be mindful of your league position. Season 3 has 3 more races to go including this Friday race. So naturally people who finished top of the table can get their first choice car. |

QUOTE(maranello55 @ Aug 16 2007, 02:20 PM) Roger that evo... Agreed 100% with you evo on the part where details do help shave off tenths and more importantly being consistent throughout the race. I have spent quite a large amount of money making sure that all this little extra thing can be turn on during gameplay. Playing with widescreen with high reso also help a lot to increase our awareness of what's going on around. Upgrading to core2duo and clock up the speed to 3.0GHz from a mere single core 2.8GHz Athlon64 has help a lot in preventing jerkiness when there are lotsa car to render. Now i cant get over the discomfort of office chair having to pull ur legs together to step on the throttle....im planning to get a dirt cheap bucket seat just to have my thighs snugged in.
