Quad Core Kentsfield
The currently available Core 2 Extreme QX6700 will be relaunched on July 22nd, 2007 as the Core 2 Quad Q6700, clocked at 2.66 GHz, but it consumes less power than QX6700. The Q6600 is additionally expected to fall in price to US$266 on July 22nd, 2007.

qx6700 is extreme version ? i tot qx6800 is the Real EE........

yeah true with lower multiplier, hopefully that does not hinder the OCibility

Better overclocking? I think E6600 is more than enough for dual core. For Quad core I am not sure. Most reviewers tend to use QX6700 which priced RM3300++. I hope could see lower model like Q6400 or Q6300.

anybody hv read bout q6400 and q6300, coz i still not find any article bout those proc, e6600 will priced at usd266 `rmless teh rm1k, if those q6400 and q6300 available the price should be cheaper... it intel strategies to make quad core become a mainstream by next year

No price slash for Q6400 because it will only debut this month. But the price for last long, and I bet not many will actually grab one with July 22nd price slash coming so soon.
