Must be something seriously not right... loose battery terminal, connection problem, etc as suggested.
Good luck getting it iron out. Worst case - bring it back to Yamaha Sungai Buloh factory. Very rare Yamaha bike break down, especially brand new from bike shop. |

Pheeew That the burden of ever reliance of electronics in our life. One small thing 'fail', the rest wont work. Not like yesteryear tech, plain old mechanical. No need high tech gadgetry if anything goes wrong. I remember helping my friend with his 2016 PCX. Suddenly the engine check light blinks (2 long 9 short blinks). The engine cannot be started. Luckily I have the service manual to refer to. The solution as simple as unplugging IACV sensor, clean the connector with connector cleaner, plug it back, re-calibrate it, zoom zoom of he goes. I think similarly with NVX... comes with key less system summore. Anyway, happy biking. |

QUOTE(ajaibman @ Oct 22 2018, 07:02 PM) Not up to BMW complexity, but it's complex system, with heaps of sensors. IACV, TPS, coolant temperature, intake air temperature, MAP sensor, oxygen sensor, ECT Sensor, VS Sensor, CKP Sensor, Fuel level sensor, just to name it... Then there's a complete circuit for LEDs as well. 12V goes to dedicated LED control unit. If this box gone, zero lighting. Good luck to under the tree mechanic to diagnose and repair any error. Without proper workshop manual, it will be difficult to rectify any error. The wiring diagram

QUOTE(leon898 @ Oct 23 2018, 08:40 AM) Yah... missed the simplicity of CDI and carburetor based engine. Dead easy to fix / rectify. QUOTE(ajaibman @ Oct 23 2018, 09:15 AM) I guess we can't run away when the venturing into Fuel Injection and emission regulated era..... Yah. Once it's fuel injected... complex electronic and control will be there too. Just that hope the electronic quality last and better QC for those CKD bikes |
