Hi..are ASX funds any good for EPF MIS. Planning to join it next month (at last I passed the basic saving threshold haha). I'm not keen on UTs due to sales charge, fluctuating performances, extra fees etc.

QUOTE(nexona88 @ Nov 20 2018, 01:53 PM) first of all.. u bumi or non bumi? I ask because Non Bumi quota all sold out (even for EPF MIS) for bumi... Amanah Saham Bumiputera 2, Amanah Saham Bumiputera 3 - Didik Amanah Saham Malaysia 2 - Wawasan Amanah Saham Malaysia 3 anyone above can be pick (as long u not hit 200k limit for ASB2).. others.. sky the limit... I see. Luckily I'm Bumi. Thinking about ASB2 or ASB Didik but last time at ASNB booth (Nu Sentral) the staff told me need to check if any units available first. Thanks 😄

I think on average all ASx funds wont give any lesser than 5% next year. PNB declares modest dividends during the good times and spare the rest of profits under reserves. Well, now is the time to give somehow dip into the reserves and maintain between 5-6%. To preserve unit holders confidence and what not.

QUOTE(nexona88 @ Nov 20 2018, 05:07 PM) well if lesser than 5%.. it's already near to FD rate... better go for FD.. less hassle.. confirmed can dump your $$$ my feels.. the rate could be around 5.5% to 5.8% Haha..ya. Or just to give a feel good factor..all 6.00 across, maybe 6.50-6.75 ASB exceptionally.

QUOTE(DBHILUHDAQWISRTNJ @ Jan 16 2019, 11:27 PM) Haizzz , I should set this image as hp wallpaper . Is not a easy task to control , especially shopping . Questions: how many percent of your monthly income will save as investment ?? All abang , kasih sikit comment. I am no abang..adik maybe🤠So far, excluding EPF 11% contribution, able to save roughly 25% monthly income for ASNB investment, only earn peanuts & have other commitments. Hopefully will save more in years to come.🙂 This post has been edited by shodan11: Jan 17 2019, 10:59 AM

QUOTE(BotakLk @ Feb 17 2019, 06:41 AM) Hello, I'd like to ask a question about ASB regarding something I have been told people doing but I can't justify or see the reason behind. I know different people can have different interest and goals and perhaps in doing this thing there is something beneficial. So... I have been told to divide my ASB financing investment in smaller pieces, let's say instead of taking up a full 100k or 200k ASB loan, divide it in for example 4 25k or 4 50 k differentiated investment. I am not sure if they supposed to be of different tenure like one of 5 yrs one of 10 yrs and so on, it wasn't clear. Anyone heard about this way of doing things? but how exactly and for what reason? Thanks. As above, the reason people do divide their ASBf is due to different goals/priorities. Might be for short team plan such wedding, DP, vacation etc. So easier to terminate (say after 3-5 years) and get your accumulated dividend + surrender value from amortization. For long term plan (retirement funds etc) usually will take ASBf max 200k full tenure. Plus point if you are still young so can terminate & reapplied every 3 years or so to max ROI and 'abuse' the system. Overall, ASNB fixed price funds are good saving/investment vehicle in my opinion.
