Every year on EX date, you will receive additional units as "dividend".

For example: if you have 1000 unit of  Amanah Saham Wawasan ASM2 of Fixed Price RM 1, and if PNB declare 6% dividend, you will receive extra 60 units on 1 september.

1000 units x RM1 per unit = RM 1000

After dividend.

1060 units x RM1 per unit = RM1060

ASM,ASM2 and ASM3 are called Fixed Price because a unit price is always RM 1

Salah calculation.
It was 3% of 7 years earlier vs 6% gains after 7 years.
Option 1,
You paid off 100k car loan.
No money to put asnb.
But can top up asnb 17k every year for 7 years.
End of the day asnb got 150k with 6% compound.

Paid 100k, left 150k.

Option 2,
You borrow 100k car loan.
100k in asnb.
Paid loan 17k x 7 = 121000 over 7 years.
Asnb got 150k with 6% compound.

Paid 121k, left 150k.

if you ask me, i buy a RM50k car and dump the 50k into ASB. setlle.

I saw from somewhere that initial amount to open account can be as low as RM10. Anyone can confirm?

Maybank has an online savings account, that gives 2% interest, but must online transaction only. So probably viable to keep it here while waiting for units in ASNB to do FPX? Sorry ya, maybe old news but just found out today
