What does PIDM do with all the collected money?

To me I feel PIDM are created by previous government to squeezes money from banks in to this so call PIDM.
After this PIDM created Banks start to charge this and that to make back what they lost out.

Anyway ASB will out this month end will benchmark other ASx fund payout.

First, this is not a Malaysia only product, get to know what is deposit insurance system, why it is created, then you get the answer.

I don't want to off topic and explain too much.

Well even if there's PIDM protection for ASx.
Some won't touch / dump $$ into the funds...
So basically its personal preference & individual investment goals..

So no use discussing on PIDM & focus on getting the units... Simple as that 👍🙏

Yeah.. EPF doesn't have PIDM nor capital guaranteed too... Some even have a thought that after retired, money inside EPF will all gone... So use EPF account 2 money for this and that... It is all personal preference, nothing wrong with that anyway...

Any update?
*
Just called the local ASNB and spoke to the manager.

* still no update from MS on the 2 regulations enforcement.
* when asked on how these 2 regulations will impact the funds, stated the FP to VP!
* advised me not to worry as there are many many many malaysians involved and the repercussion will be huge.

Remember the earlier thread on my call to ASNB HQ and the lady said whether they change or not will depend on what is stated in the prospectus (quoting the earlier case with one ASB fund)?

I did say do not that for granted and I am not liable for the outcome. devil.gif

So, please dont kill this messenger. Do your own due diligence. bruce.gif

Please keep threads related to this under control. sweat.gif

“Tabung Haji's shares in Bank Islam Malaysia Bhd (BIMB) were sold so as to show profit before being repurchased, which also incurred brokerage fees.”

"Although the above transactions appear commercial, we understand that the intention was to enable Tabung Haji to report higher profits for the purpose of distribution to the depositors.

This what im seriously worry if PNB doing the same trick...selectively realised profit to show profit and pay divided:(
