Haha no way focus on ASM3. I only focus on ASM3 by 2.30pm today to avoid losing 1 moon's dividend. Otherwise I'm happy to settle with majority ASM2.

I didn't build up my ASM2 from the last sale la. A bit from last week (as much as I want to reserve bullet for today, I don't want to fight with everyone to buy today if ASM1 not available) and today.
So fortunate of you. I didn't have such knowledgeable parents. So I only start this year. And I'm old already.

Even when my godsis showed me, hers is ASBx, so I didn't even bother.
Focus on other funds la. Back in those days, 0.2% difference only. Losing 1 month dividend costs you 0.5% from 6% (or 8.3% lesser).

I'd like 5 digits fund on ASN Equity 3, would like to ask should I sell off everything? I know they just gave out dividend. but the unit price is going way under what I bought 3 years ago. Thought after dividend this year, gonna sell everything. but boom...    

or am I in the wrong thread to ask for VP funds.

im non-bumi. If not I shot myself for buying ASG kesihatan. this year 4.1%, last year 5.2% but unit price terjun each year... a bank manager recommend this fund to me 3 years ago when 50% asn gemilang 50% fixed deposit 7.5%+ interest(3months). saying that after 3 years sure will get more profit than 4.5% fixed deposit.

One things to ask here. Do you guys park your emergency fund in ASNB? Does it hassle you much if you need that amount of money urgently?
I'm thinking whether to move my emergency fund to ASM2 / 3
Any thought?

From what i know, so far only asm, asm2, asm3 are capital guarantee, or do you happen to know any other than these?

I strongly agree ASN is to help Bumiputera. The concern now is most of the ASM funds are grabbed by rich non bumi. People I know outside of the forum only own a few thousand. The most also 25k after years of dividends. So ASMx end up helping the rich nonbumi. This is the only reason I could think of ASNB converting the fund to VP (and I do agree that sufficient time will be given or maybe even offer to convert to other FP funds when that day comes).

Weird thing is, ASN itself was converted to VP. Maybe to give bumiputeras a chance to earn more money when KLSE goes up?

Haha, all have their reasons n merits. I think, to each, their own choice. For the lucky ones, asset allocations to shares, FP, VP, FD, gold, foreign currency, property, etc. I thankful sis sharing much info on asnb.
Just hope if got news on FP to VP, pls shout out.... Till then, enjoy the coming dividends.
