Actually may i know your original sport rim & tire size? If not mistaken Vios got 2 tire & sport rim spec.

If already 15 inch, changing to better spec. UHP type tires are far enough than going for wider range. Going wider range does provide better grip but worsen your fuel consumption. Even my previous ride a Toyota Corolla GT, 20v with 6-speed manual original only come with tires & sport rim 185/60/R14 (Take note that almost 160hp on engine). After some time i upgraded the rim to 15 inch also use 185/55/R15 with Michelin Pilot Sport 2/3 tires, even beat some of the competitors wider range tires on the track also... brows.gif

My advise fix your suspension system first, steering arm bush, anti-roll bar bush & lower arm bush. After fix these basic handling items, go for suspension setting (would recommend adjustable absorbers if want to lowered your ride, or custom modified current absorbers & buy lowered spring - Dont cut the OEM springs!) only after that go for tires & sport rims.

Your previous ride's hidden beast man! Should be very much of fun driving it around. And yes you sifus have successfully brainwashed me for going 15" instead of 17" hahaha, a big plus for doing that is, it's MUCH CHEAPER. For me, I'm just gonna upgrade the.rims and.tyres.to 15" as most of you sifus advice and then, deal with the suspension system and after that, lower it with ftuned sport spring. Custom modified current absorbers? But how? Is it any good?

Yes, local got a lot of custom made absorbers for different requirement.
They can made your current OEM absorbers to serviceable type.

If your are in KL/Selangor area and visit this HWL factory to do customization. If northern area i can introduce TKA Motorsport.

Serviceable is more cheaper to maintain for long run and you can either customize to make it harder or softer depending on your needs.

I didn't even know there's such thing haha. Can I know how much would it cost rougly? Is it durable by doing this?

I did it at TKA motorsports northen area for my old ride a Kancil L5 turbo, Kelisa & Wira. Mostly only modify the front 2 structs as usually i drive alone or with passenger.

If not mistaken a pair for modification is around RM200~300 (RM100~150/pcs) to convert to serviceable & depending on your request (hard or soft) or modification (if lowered, u need to shorten the shalf if done properly or change internal valves with better type for hardcore drivers).
For my rides, i am using it almost 2~3 years before sold off my Kancil & Wira, the new owners also did not complain much until now.
I believe if it is done right, it can last a long time.
My only left additional ride now is the Kelisa, also lasted for almost 3~4 years now without going back to them to service also.

Thanks for the advice bro! But for now I guess I will be leaning more into a sport spring + stock abs, I will see how it goes and decide whether do I need it more, so that I won't be wasting money for what's not necessary. Definitely gonna drop a visit and understand it more from them, I learned👍

Bro, the installation fee for absorbers is not cheap also. If 1 time already RM150 for you, 2 time will be RM300 which is equal of 1 set of front modify absorbers.

Usually i direct drive my cars to them (Absorber shop) the price RM200~300 usually included with installation, if future maybe within 1~ 2 months got issue they will help fix back without any charges. Usually they also will sell sport springs to match with their modification, if you want to do it proper do it at once and not later. If your stock absorbers already quite sometime or worn out, fitting a sport spring will help faster spoilt it as your original absorbers is design for normal height and it will start hitting the lower end (May cause oil leakage) once the oil/gas pressure inside is getting less.

Yea you've got the point sifu. Brands you mentioned their products alone are expensive already, the reason why I'm going to Ftuned is because that people said it has similar performance like brands you mentioned but at a lower price. Since you think installation fee is expensive too, do you think is it possible for me to buy the spring from them and then have it installed at other place? Or maybe there's a reason why they are charging more expensive than the others? Some tuning maybe?

There is no tuning, the most is just some re-allignment or some adjustable chamber nut scam.
Changing spring is peanuts for most mechanics with the suitable tools. Why expensive? You may have to figure the parts, place & labor they are getting around there. If near city or famous place for sure the shop rent & labor is higher.
