I didn't even know there's such thing haha. Can I know how much would it cost rougly? Is it durable by doing this?

I did it at TKA motorsports northen area for my old ride a Kancil L5 turbo, Kelisa & Wira. Mostly only modify the front 2 structs as usually i drive alone or with passenger.

If not mistaken a pair for modification is around RM200~300 (RM100~150/pcs) to convert to serviceable & depending on your request (hard or soft) or modification (if lowered, u need to shorten the shalf if done properly or change internal valves with better type for hardcore drivers).
For my rides, i am using it almost 2~3 years before sold off my Kancil & Wira, the new owners also did not complain much until now.
I believe if it is done right, it can last a long time.
My only left additional ride now is the Kelisa, also lasted for almost 3~4 years now without going back to them to service also.

Most economical way? Probably with ftuned springs + stock absorbers. Ftuned claims their springs can be paired with stock absorbers so it shouldn't be a problem. Use it till it wears out then you can decide if you want to upgrade to adjustables or better absorbers.

For me, I feel sports springs + the right absorbers can give you almost the same comfort levels as stock. I'm using eibach prokit and paired with my stock kyb absorbers. The comfort was alright. Now I changed to kyb rs ultra absorber, the comfort is slightly improved with better high speed stability. They say ftuned springs has the same comfort levels with eibach so it probably should be fine. I have no experience on adjustables so I can't comment on that.

Great advice you gave there, thanks! It sounds logical and reasonable, I'm gonna do it your way in this part since you've got some experience in that and it's almost the same from what I've heard from the others. Have you guys heard of HWL? Heard great reviews from them too, I asked for a quotation from Ftuned and RM380 for the spring itself + RM150 for the installation is what they offer. Sounds reasonable?

Thanks for the advice bro! But for now I guess I will be leaning more into a sport spring + stock abs, I will see how it goes and decide whether do I need it more, so that I won't be wasting money for what's not necessary. Definitely gonna drop a visit and understand it more from them, I learned👍

You're welcome. Yes, I have a few friends using hwl. It performs pretty well for the price you're paying. Rm150 for installation is a little expensive. Does it includes alignment? Try surveying around for installation cost. I installed at my regular tyre shop for rm60 excluding alignment.

Bro, the installation fee for absorbers is not cheap also. If 1 time already RM150 for you, 2 time will be RM300 which is equal of 1 set of front modify absorbers.

Usually i direct drive my cars to them (Absorber shop) the price RM200~300 usually included with installation, if future maybe within 1~ 2 months got issue they will help fix back without any charges. Usually they also will sell sport springs to match with their modification, if you want to do it proper do it at once and not later. If your stock absorbers already quite sometime or worn out, fitting a sport spring will help faster spoilt it as your original absorbers is design for normal height and it will start hitting the lower end (May cause oil leakage) once the oil/gas pressure inside is getting less.

I'm going to lower my car anyway to gain better handling and get better look, of course it would be best to keep the comfortness at the same time. How would you suggest me to reach my needs in the most economical way? For example changing just the spring itself, or change the absorber too? Or modify my stock absorber to serviceable or even get a HI/LOW? Any advice would be helpful thanks!

If the most economical way then just change to some good sport springs which are still relatively comfortable paired with still stock shocks. If want better then also change with sportier shocks. If want the best then use adjustables/coil overs but you need to play around with the setups until you find the most suitable setup for you but it won't be cheap/economical.

The spring price is cheap but the installation is expensive! Anyway if you buy import branded springs like Eibach/Tanabe/Tein/RSR, they'd easily cost 1k or more just for the goods not including installation labor.

Yea you've got the point sifu. Brands you mentioned their products alone are expensive already, the reason why I'm going to Ftuned is because that people said it has similar performance like brands you mentioned but at a lower price. Since you think installation fee is expensive too, do you think is it possible for me to buy the spring from them and then have it installed at other place? Or maybe there's a reason why they are charging more expensive than the others? Some tuning maybe?

There is no tuning, the most is just some re-allignment or some adjustable chamber nut scam.
Changing spring is peanuts for most mechanics with the suitable tools. Why expensive? You may have to figure the parts, place & labor they are getting around there. If near city or famous place for sure the shop rent & labor is higher.

I'm currently driving Toyota Vios NCP42(First Gen) and thinking about improving my car's handling and some other light modification.
I will start from changing a sport spring, then follow by rim&tyre upgrade.
Any suggestions sifus? I'm leaning to 17" .

Is there a feedback after installation that we could hear about?

I’m on NCP 42 with a 195/50/R16 set up with Advanti Storm and Goodyear Triple Max 2 tyres. Looking forward to getting CLS lowering spring from F Tuned with either Monroe Oespectrums or a customized short stroke absorber from HWL or VR Valde.

I’m very concerned that I’ll be facing a heavy rubbing issue at road humps and comfort levels taking a serious 50% hit after installation. Would hate to have that bouncy feeling and constant rubbing. Ofcourse aesthetically I would love a lowered ride. The current has this 4 fingered loose gap front and back which annoys the living daylights out of my visual horse powered eyesigh. My aim is to take it as far as 2 fingers loose or three fingers tight at maximum point with this intended set up mentioned above.

I will be truly honored to hear feedback from experienced individuals on this matter. Cheers in advance.

Hi,

I have vios ncp93 year 2010. Tyre is 175/65R14. If want to upgrade tyres, keeping the rims, what tyre size is better? I prefer something less noisy, good performance and safe. If possible, fuel saving. I am quite heavy on the pedal.

Thank you.
