i need a suggestion here..
i hav 3 way in mind on how to mount the raddy :

1) to mount at the bak of teh 120MM fan holes..
2) to mount above the casing + add on a rad grilzz
3) to mount at the place where the HDD rack is..

if i using mounting opt 1 i need to drill 2 hole at d bak.. end up making the PSU cacat abit.. else if i m using mountin opt 2 i need also to cut out a bigger piece of alu n since my mobo placement is BTX-style.. the raddy placement will disable me to plug in my PCI Tv card.. lastly if i m usin mountin opt 3 i need to mod a HDD cage for 5.25 and if there is future upgrade to the PSU.. e.g like the size of enermax noisetaker 2.. teh raddy will come into the way..

hopefully sum1 out da cn gimme a better suggestion though..
thanks.

Great idea there. There's also another way to do it but it requires more cutting n delicate work. U can mount the radiator right on the front panel. It involves using the lower 3 ROM slots n existing front 120mm intake. U hafta cut away a lil bit of the divider plate between teh 3 ROM slots n front 120mm fan. Then u can fit the 2x120mm rad there. That way u'll b getting lotsa nice fresh air from the front.
*
thanks 4 d complement.. i've tat plan in mind too.. but i'm not tat pro la.. i scare later teh cutting results will really look bad.. doh.gif btw.. i saw tat idea from hollowbean v2000 wc mod.. tongue.gif

QUOTE(peaceofluck @ Jun 9 2007, 08:47 PM)
yupe u just not cool d rad but at same time regain nice air from it...
nice idea there....
or u mayb hav another ideas?
*
hahaha the current 1 is da best i can have..

Cutting the divider plate let the 240 rad fits in really save up lotsa space. but the front cover must do some mod, make it to a mesh hole type like ianho did, really help alot increasing the airflow smile.gif
Here's a closer look.

The single slots u can mod like what I did for my V1200 last time. If u want to buy then can get the 3 slot size HDD cage at the bottom of the pix. It's called an EX33. Can get from ATE at about rm150 IIRC. Just remove the HDD cage n u can use just the front plate as an intake plate.
*
thanks 4 d idea.. but i think i'll try to mod like wut u did b4..

Well after a long while of delay.. finally i've get myself started to cont the mod jobs.
After having the right idea from unc ianho & hollowbean, i finally decided to mod the raddy in front of the rom-bay. after weeks of planning on how to cut.. finally..

The case being wash-out-all-clean after undergoing a rather V-licious makeover - the cutting & filing & sanding jobs.

A lil' peep into the bay that i've cut out.

Guess wut.. dis was d front divider tat was cut out.. the left side was cut out using saw till my hand bengkak.. cry.gif cry.gif .. then later i gave up n decided to use an angle grinder on the other sides. .

On the other hand.. i had modded my DDC pump top for a better performance.
