For the Digi postpaid infinite plan ($150 and $100), is there any contract period eg: 1 or 2 years or can we cancel anytime we want to?

Tested digi at home. Only have 1 bar signal on my TP-link MR400 modem.
Speed test for download ranges from 1-10.5 Mbps and upload from 0.4-1.5.

Is there any way to improve the signal strength?

b168, if still weak, better add external antenna as signal seem very weak....point direct telco tower...

see bar coverage also ok, but if can better see rsrp reading n location/find a good location inside your house.
*
Thanks. Currently no good location. My yoodo is also 1 bar on modem but download and upload speed better than digi. Rsrp for Yoodo is -109dBm (digi should be worse. My digi has not much data left and I just switched out of digi sim card, so showing Yoodo's dBm instead. Digi's dBm should be worse than Yoodo).

Do you know what kind of external antenna I can add (any website that I can go see?). I just bought my modem, so at the moment not considering Huawei B618 yet.

cheap2 for play, mimo antenna red colour box, better abit available on m'sia market LPDA type but need buy 2xunits,
or yagi txr-185 hard to get only available in indon, directional type. point to tower.
only for those who upgrade... lol
*
Thanks.

Wonder if anyone know if we can subscribe for digi postpaid infinite for a few months, then later stop for a few months, then later subscribe again. Is it possible since there is no contract period. Scared that Digi may not like it and so prevent us from doing so.

if the number is not significant, you can always terminate it out convert to prepaid when not using

Thanks. Just hoping that they won't prevent me from coming back to the postpaid plan if/when I need to do.

1) Is Unifi's Huawei B618 wireless router 22d or 65d?
2) Also, which one is better 22d or 65d?

I remembered seeing the answer somewhere, but now am unable to trace it.

faizyusof94 Some good news. Lazada has offer on Huawei B618-65d modem. Current price $680. Sales on 12 July is $649. Store is MaxSpeed.
https://www.lazada.com.my/products/huawei-b...lZ2tcH&search=1

[Disclaimer: Do not know seller nor have any affiliation with him. So buy at your own risk]

So for those that are scared TM might lock your Huawei modem or those intending to buy the modem, here's your chance to grab it.

1 thing I learned from generally reading the comments and rating section of various products, quite a number of the comments are negative but still give 5 star rating. I no longer trust in Lazada's rating anymore

i'm pretty sure it's signed out from TM set too... the price is too good to be true a genie set/import set from huawei..

Aliepxress and taobao, retail price still is within RM1.1k~1.3k each units.

which ever below mostly are telco set.

who ever plan to take 65D from tm set better act fast before new plan release like sialcom plan. then no more cheap2 price for b618 ald.

is a very good modem. as we speak from our experience and our test on modem we used.  nod.gif  nod.gif
*
alexchew_2020 I never thought of him getting it from TM as there's 1 year local manufacturer warranty. If we get from TM, then there's no warranty right? Sigh! Guess you are probably right.

TM set also give out 1 year warranty via huawei. no longer ties with TM....

well, once is confirmed. it will be like old day old model for good price.

4G+ modem
e5186-22a, 2x2mimo (RM4xx or 5xx)
b525, 2x2mimo (RM5xx~7xx)

both stock firmware not support Volte, u need pay someone to flash new firmware with support Volte,

out of idea how to compare if those cant see 4g+ modem at market value.  notworthy.gif
*
alexchew Oh, I thought if one terminated one's TM line (although we paid for the Huawei modem), then no warranty already. Glad to hear that warranty is still there.

I guess some people are ok with their internet performance, that's why no necessity to get B618

QUOTE(moshpit21 @ Jul 10 2019, 06:31 PM)
agree with you, and many give 5 star ratings right after they receive the item, so that 5 star rating only to validate the seller is not a scam, but it doesnt really represent the quality of the product
*
moshpit21 I think its because the system automatically sets it at 5 stars for the seller. So one has to manually change the # of stars if one is unhappy. Also, its easy to miss the stars rating as its quite a bit higher compared to the comments section. Plus, Lazada will prompt one for review and if we clicked submit, then automatically 5 stars. That's why so many people never comment but give 5 stars. Only the delivery company, the number of stars are not set.

shopee is worst because they have template -ready-made comments. meaning it encourage people to be lazy and not to write remarks in their own words. so you have texts that doesn't really say anything revealing about products.
*
MrWrath Didn't know that about shopee. That's bad. Haven't written any review on shopee yet but written for lazada. Somehow my reviews don't appear in Lazada even though its good comments.

Netgear Nighthawk M1
I own these units, and Netgear Nighthawk M1 is not inferior to B618, as B618 not always produces better performance in term of download speed as compared with M1, but of course most of the time, B618 top M1  in term of upload speed. Main difference is Nighthawk M1 is a MiFi while B618 is a router modem.Thanks.
*
Never expected a mifi to be that good. Wow.

It is the best MiFi as of today. I have used/owned it myself together with B618 but eventually sold it off as B618 is still better for me. biggrin.gif
The speed captured is about 10Mbps lesser than B618. tongue.gif

fruitie I see Thanks. Netgear Nighthawk M1--must try to remember if I ever need one. But price is also very 'nice'

65d sets are TM sets BUT one fellow shared before his 65d is not a TM set, so cannot use VoLTE here. Always check with the seller before placing order.
*
fruitie If its not TM set, cannot use VoLTE? Sorry if its noob question.

not sure..just test it with phone.... it's just a firmware matter only...

like 22d, stock firmware last time voice call issue. receive side cant hear at all  laugh.gif
*
alexchew My phones are volte enabled already (though phone settings do not have the volte button. Used *#*#4636#*#* to check for volte) . But then my sim card in my B618 modem is Yoodo (Yoodo does not have volte). I have digi and unifi mobile sim cards in my phones. Understand that digi and unifi mobile support volte.

Like that still can test for volte? Interested in hearing how volte quality is like. Also can save some $ as not paying for phone charges

I know Digi has to call up CS to activate volte. Not sure whether have to call up unifi mobile to activate volte though

QUOTE(fruitie @ Jul 16 2019, 01:39 AM)
For straight forward answer, yes cannot use VoLTE.

fruitie Thanks
