Anyone using VPN to workaround Digi infinite 150 p2p limitations?

Which VPN are you using?
*
I used to use Windscribe VPN but these days I got myself a Zbigz premium account and no longer need the VPN for P2P

Digi Postpaid speedtest at Huawei V10 smartphone get 25mbps around at my area.
Digi Postpaid and Infinite 150 same speed or?
Infinite 150 will get around this speed too?
B618 + i150, B3+B7 can get over 100mbps?
*
The speeds for the Infinite 150 should be similar to DiGi Postpaid give or take, if not slightly faster.

With the B618, should be able to boost your speeds close to 75mbps. Getting over 100mbps would be considered a bonus.

I am now with digi58, if I change the plan online now to digi infinite 100, how long I need to wait for this upgrade?

I have paid rm500 for my existing bill. Will this rm500 bring forward to my new digi 100 infinite bill?

Thanks for info sharing
*
Should be within a few hours since you are already a DiGi customer unless they deem that you need a new sim card, than would take 1-2 days as they post the new sim to you.

I don't see why not since you have a RM500 credit in your account.

I have pay myr1100 to my bill.

Now presto mall have voucher , buy rm1100 only need rm1000.

I use maybank amex and buy it and get rebate rm50.

Then I only pay myr1100 presto pay credit with RM 950.

After that I use presto pay to pay my digi bill myr1100.
*
That is really some savings there. I was wondering why you prepaid RM500 in advance for your DiGi account. Now I know ✌

Ha 170Mbps  tongue.gif
That link you share RM20 rebate only for change plan, new line should no have loh.  tongue.gif

By the way, i call Digi just now.
told me that i150 only have 100GB quota, after 100GB using, speed will down, is it?  blink.gif
*
For Infinite 150 the quota is 1000GB or 1TB, not 100GB like you mentioned. After you hit the 1000GB/1TB, the speed will be capped at 10Mbps which is still acceptable if you ask me.

Dont know why Digi customer support told me there are only 100GB quota for Infinite 150.
I try notice and asking 3 time to confirm.  laugh.gif
or maybe for new user they change policy ?  hmm.gif
*
I highly doubt so. I just used my quota the last cycle, up till 1000GB than the speed shaping kicked in. So yeah, Infinite 150 can still support usage up to 1000GB.

Good to hear that, 1000GB will be perfect for i150.  smile.gif

Yes, for light to medium users, it would more than adequate unless you are a very heavy user.

ok thanks for info i wanna port in to DiGi since maxis got no unlimited package.
*
No worries. This would be the best unlimited plan provided you have decent DiGi coverage in your area. Test it out with a DiGi prepaid before signing up for the Infinite 150.

Hi all, I signed up for the Digi 150 infinite while still keeping my Maxis package as well.  I am very glad to got it as I've switched over my default data to Digi. Lately these past 2-3 weeks, the data speed and coverage in KL City Center has been erratic and unstable.

Hope Digi is improving their service due to this cause at times it's quite umbearable.
*
Great and welcome to the Infinite 150 family. I am not sure about KL City Center, but it is working great over at PJ and it's surrounding areas. No issues so far.

How was the service and network performance on your Infinite line, prior to the 2-3 weeks that you mentioned?

using vip number for i150 is not a good choice at the end  doh.gif  i hv two lines somemore  bangwall.gif
*
If you want to use prepaid to maintain your VIP number, you should MNP over to OneXOX prepaid to enjoy the 28 months validity. Just my 2 cents.

thx for your suggestion. i hv tried to port in once at their service centre at komtar, their service is very bad. after a week of complain, their cs called up gv me even worst service.  bye.gif
i park my numbers at tunetalk, easy in easy out and no TAC issue  biggrin.gif
*
I see. Sorry to hear about your difficulties and problems faced with OneXOX. I did mine via online through their website and never had any issues besides the waiting time for their sim card to arrive. Other than that, I just use it to park my VIP number until something good comes up.

Heavy User really need go for Fiber Optic cable happy.gif
*
Yes, fiber is the way to go for heavy users but unfortunately, not everyone has access to fiber subscriptions due to the lack of infrastructure in their area.

Luckily, DiGi's Infinite 150 is still kind enough to offer speeds of 10mbps after hitting the 1TB quota.

DiGi's Infinite 150 cant BT right?
How about normal download, like Windows update or Steam Games download update?  hmm.gif
*
Normal direct download, windows update, game updates all are blazing fast depending on which band is strongest in your area.

BT you will need to use VPN. I just use Zbigz than direct download

Right, almost forgot about the DiGi retail shop. Than it should be quite convenient for your uncle in that case 👍

Totally understand. But surprisingly my mum who is in her seventies made the effort to adopt making online payments from the apps instead of having the need to run to the post office or banks to pay her bills.

*
Yes, I got the same rebate as you for the initial 6 months. Than not too long ago, I initiated a port out to Umobile, and they came back with the offer for RM20x12 months rebate. Give it a try, they might also offer it to you.

using inifite 150 2 months but found p2p no longer working yesterday, call customer service was told digi block it need unblock, but my month usage average 30gb.

Anyone encounter similar issue?
*
Honestly, I doubt that they would unblock for p2p services but no harm in being wishful and trying. 30GB usage isn't really a lot, so I doubt they would penalise you for it.

I use Zbigz premium service for my p2p activities, than just direct download from their server, so never had any issues.

I am assuming maybe he used a VPN to bypass the speed cap.

Yup main purpose of 150 is for CCTV and youtube usage only.
I don't download anything, I have monitor it monthly usage is 20-30GB only.
I call CS twice, they told me they will unblock it but how they unblock I have no idea, but take 2-3 days.
nope, my CCTV is P2P setting I don't download anything actually.
Speed not cap until now still can get full speed around 100mbps, just that CCTV not accessible anymore.
But if I use maxis or celcom, I can view my CCTV back via apps.
*
I understand what you meant now. You are using cloud p2p service for your CCTV monitoring. In that case, I think you better follow up with DiGi's customer service to have them resolve it for you asap. Security matters.

Speed test got some funny thing.
B618+i150 test Server choose :
Telekom Malaysia 36 DL 11 Up
Digi Malaysia      24 DL  6Up
Celcom Axiata      40 DL 13Up

i try feel time, Celcom get more higher DL speed.  blink.gif

Digi i150 Download speed test at my home.
server choose Celcom Axiata.
Band 3 get  60  26  60  48  53
Band 7 get  37  28  39  40  40
Band 3+3 : 59  30  65
Band 3+7 : 65  29  48  42  34

Sp means that my area Band 3 more good than 7 loh.  biggrin.gif
*
Try moving the position/location of your B618 modem around your house, preferably nearby or close to the windows. Try again and see if there is much difference in your speed tests.

It took me a while to figure out the best sweet spot to place my B618, even to the extend of adding an extension cord for it to sit in the ideal location in the house.
